For stubborn stains on light colored grout, make a paste of baking soda and straight peroxide. When the bubbling stops, apply this mixture to the stain and leave it on for approximately ten minutes. Scrub with a small brush and rinse.

Using The Correct Kitchen Floor Cleaner Lets Your Floor Shine

Vinyl floors are popular because they are inexpensive, durable, and come in a huge selection of colors, patterns and styles. Ceramic Floors Never use any type of harsh or abrasive cleaners on ceramic floors as they could scratch the finish or glaze. Sweep your kitchen floor first and then clean with warm water. If your floor has a heavy dirt buildup, clean it using a mixture of one gallon of warm water, one tablespoon of borax and two tablespoons of ammonia. Mop the floor and then rinse with clean, warm water.

Slate Floors Slate floors are very beautiful and durable and require very little care. Although slates texture and darkness does not show the dirt like some other floors, you should vacuum or sweep them regularly. A slate kitchen floor normally takes a lot of abuse such as spills, so seal them with two or three coats of a good quality commercial sealer. This is available at a tile store or some hardware stores. Let each coat dry for approximately half an hour before applying another coat. Wash the slate floor with warm water or warm water with a mild, acid free cleanser. Always clean up any spills immediately.

To keep your kitchen garbage disposer smelling fresh, run some lime or lemon pieces through it twice a week. Two tablespoons of baking soda along with a couple of ice cubes, followed by hot water, will also keep it fresh smelling.

Removing burned-on food in a pot or pan is easy when you add a few drops of liquid dish soap and an inch of water. Bring this to a boil, remove the pot or pan from the heat and let it cool. Empty and wash in hot soapy water and the burned-on food will disappear.
