Kuwait is a country located in Middle East, overlooking the Arabian Gulf Sea.
Saudi Arabia, Iraq are its neighbors. Kuwait's population consists of 1.4 million foreigners and 800,000 Kuwaitis which makes total of 2.2 million. Islam is the state religion, and the official language is Arabic, although English is also taught in public schools. Kuwait's capital is Kuwait City and its currency is called the Kuwaiti Dinar (1000 fils). Kuwait is a constitutional monarchy ruled by the al-Subah family. Kuwait has gone through major developments after discovering oil in 1920s. It has advanced rapidly in every aspect of life.
Kuwait was badly damaged because of Iraqis' invasion during 1990-1991. Many buildings and houses were burned down and destroyed. More than a Million of mines were planted in the tiny country, which injured and killed thousands of people. Many citizens were taken hostages. Several of these POWS were found to be buried in mass-graves in Southern of Iraq after the second Gulf war.
Today, the city has high-rise buildings, a busy port, stores that sell the latest products, and an extensive petrochemical industry.
Here are some nice places to visit in Kuwait:

Kuwait Towers: You could buy a ticket to go up to one of those spheres.
The view from above is lovely especially at sunset or at night. The ticket costs 0.500 K.D which is about $1.5. There is a restaurant & a gift shop as well in there.

Souk Sharq: A Large mall which was built around a decade ago. It has many shops, restaurants, cafes and cinemas.Lovely view of the Marina & Kuwai City

The Scientific Center: Inside the center, there is a very nice aquarium.
It's the largest in the Middle East. Don't miss going there. It's worth it.
Camcorders are allowed inside the aquarium but analogue or digital cameras
are not even if the flash was off.

The Arabian Gulf Street. It's one of longest streets in Kuwait. On one side you see the beach and the other side, you see Kuwait City. People love to practice their sports on that street as the view is lovely.

AL-Hashemi and al-Boom: Those are two great dhows at SAS hotel. They are owned by the Marafi family. Hashimi is the largest wooden Arabic dhow in the world. It's even recorded on the Guinness World Records. It's 80.4 m long, 18.7 m wide and weighs an estimated 2,500 tons. It cost many millions of dollars. And al-boom is a seafood restaurant. In addition, there is a dhow museum next to them. They're worth a look.

Marina Mall: A new large mall which was completed 2 years ago. It has many shops offering the latest fashion, restaurants, cafes, cinemas, a five-star Hotel and a marina. It is one of my favourite malls in Kuwait.
