A request to the Admin of the forum!!!!!!!

Assalaamo Alaikum Admin sahab!

Mein October 2010 mein iss forum ka member bana........I belong to Peshawar vally of Pukhtunkhwa province in pakistan.....and belong to "yousafzai" tribe of pukhtuns.........Pegham is a nice place and i learnt a lot here.....it have many sections ........but the one that attracted me to register here is the "pashto section" of Pegham......we have very nice and intelligent pukhtuns from all over Pakistan here.....being a student of pashto literature and a lover of pashtun culture and language i found it quite helpful .......My heartiest thanks to the Admin of this site for making it an excellent place for pakistanis.......Laiken saath mein aik gila bhi hai admin se:

Pegham mein aanay ke baad pehley hi dinn i saw this sentence " The pround language of pathans" written below "pashto section"............meine pashto section ki moderators "Hala" aur "Bhatakti Rooh" dono se request ki ke yahan word "Pathan" ki jaga "pukhtun" ya "Pashtun" likha jaaye.......because we would prefer to be called pukhtuns/pashtuns as this is our real name/identity...........The persians give us the name "Afghan" and the Indians called us "pathans" which according to some historians have come from the phrase "Ullu ka Phatta" which later became only "Pathan" others are of the opinion that as pukhtuns under the leadership of "Sher Shah suri" captured the fort of "Patna" so the indians called them pathans....another historian is of the view that when the first pukhtun leader embaraced Islam he was given the title of "Bathan" by the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) ...that later became pathan.......similarly there are various stories regarding the word "Afghan".........but most of the pukhtuns living in pakistan and Afghanistan hate the word Pathan and assume it a racial slur used by non pukhtuns especially the Hindus and punjabis....So i request Admin of this forum to change that word Pathan with "Pashtun".......(though i already have requested him 3 times through moderators, but he have given them a deaf ear)........
This time i am going to request him in the forum through this thread........Pashtuns of the forum are requested here to write their comments about this suggestion..........and admin is requested to look into the matter please......

pathan tu yar sun kay hi rub-dar lagta hay...pakhtun itna rub-dar nahiii wasay faisla admin hi karain gain by vote

....another historian is of the view that when the first pukhtun leader embaraced Islam he was given the title of "Bathan" by the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) ...that later became pathan.......similarly there are various stories regarding the word "Afghan".........but most of the pukhtuns living in pakistan and Afghanistan hate the word Pathan and assume it a racial slur used by non pukhtuns especially the Hindus and punjabis....

Mujhey zaati taur per aisey logon sey, aisi qaum sey aisi soch sey sakht chirh hai jo doosron ki nazar mein khud ko kam'tar bna leti hai. Aur aisi be'buniyaad aur chhoti chhoti baton per apni ana ko naiv kar leti hai. Iqbal ko qabar mein be'chain kar raha hoon:

yun to pukhtun bhi ho, pashtun bhi ho, pathan bhi ho
tum sabhi kuchh ho btao to musalman bhi ho

Na to aap ko pukhtun kehney sey woh soch badley gi jo - ba'qol aapkey - indians ya punjabiyon mein aap ki nisbatsey hai aur na hi pashtun kehney sey - balkeh in my view yeh dono aap ki identy ko khatam kar rahi hain :)

Source and authentication is a must, when we are relating anything to the Holy Prophet SAW

ye aap ki apni raaye aur soch hai and i respect your opinion........and i agree that "aisi choti choti baaton ko dil pe nahi lena chahiye"......I am sorry agar iss aik word se aap ki "Hubul Watni" ko tais pohunchi ho........laiken mujhey pukhtun kehlanay ka haq aur merey soobay ko pukhtunkhwa kehnay ka haq Islami Jamhooria Pakistan ki parliament pechley saal dey chuki hai....so i am proud of it and my origin....aur is ka matlab kisi ki nazar mein apney aap ko kamtar samjhna nahi balkey apni identity show karna thi.......mazeed ye ke ye aik suggestion tha aur aap ko forum admin honey ke naatey ye poora haq hasil hai ke iss se agrey kartay ya disagree.......

Kisi ki soch merey baray mein badlay ya na......mein chahonga ke mujhey apney naam se pukaara jaaye......Kya aap batana pasand karaingay ke kaisay ye dono words merey identity ko khatam kar daingay.....aur agar aisa hai to phir words like Panjabi, sindhi, aur balouchi bhi isi tarah ke words hain to kya ye inn logon ki identity ko khatam nahi kartay? agar aap ki yahi soch hai to phir ye saaray words forum se delete kardain......i won't mind it....

Well I know that and Alhamdullilah i am a five thousands year old Pukhtun, 1400+ year old Musalman and a 60+ years old Pakistani........that is only a part of history and can be found in each and every history book regarding Pashtuns......also this theory was given by Qasim a royal historian of Mughal emperor Jehangir in his book "Tarikh-e-Farishta" ........i personally disagree with that story......."Makhzan-e-Afghani" is another source where you can find the same story.........similarly "Tarikh-e-Khurshid jahan" is another one.....there are tons of other books too....but i think this would be enough for your information.....

I do NOT care of any historian or who they are, as long as they cannot prove an authenticated source. Nabi Paak SAW key daur mein abhi Islam sirf Arab tak mehdood tha - afghan ya pakhtun ya bar-e-sagheer kahan sey aa geya? Even Faris ya Persia (Iran) was out of Islam - Iran bhi Nabi Paak SAW key baad fatah huwa tha. Jab Hazrat Salman Farsi ki nisbat aisi koi baat mojood nahin keh unhein Aap SAW ney kisi laqab sey nawaza tha to bar-e-sagheer to door ki baat thi.

Muhammad Bin Qasim pehla general tha jis ney 711 key qareeb Sindh aur Punjab fatah kiya tha. Jis Banu-Ummiya sey Bin Qasim ka ta'aluq tha, ussi Banu-Ummiyah ney Iran aur Afghanistan bhi fatah kiya tha aur woh bhi satween sadi mein - yani Nabi Paak SAW ki rehlat key baad.
