no,Urdu will not b forgotten.we does not say that leave Urdu.we are saying learn Urdu but don't forget English because of its importance.in schools and colleges there is not only subject of English.there are also many subjects which are in Urdu.so how can its possible that Urdu will soon be forgotten?????????

now a days English is so much important in every field of life.
so how can its possible that Urdu is most important in offices.
have u see any document of office in Urdu?
every office has their documents in English.its possible that they talk in Urdu but office work (papers,documents,mails,fax)starts and finishe in English.we can't do office work without English.but can work without Urdu.

i have studied all of my friends thinkings about english,And i have realy surprised to hear that the english language is the certain cause of litracy science and tecknology.
why my friends forget that hard work is the certain cause of devolopments in the fields of science and technology and in the rest of the world only and only the history of the muslims is the witness of the hard work,litracy and in the devolopments of science and tecknology and that only and only they have given the way to the rest of the world for the development of science and tecknology.in my point of view litracy is to follow the cultures ,the way of hard working and the developments of their national and religiuos hero's and bieng a muslim all the muslims have the same culture and who follow's the hero's of different culture and different religiuos are illitrate.so we should hard work only bieng a muslim in our own mother language in the culture and restrictions of islam.

China, France, India gave precedence to their national language and teaching English as a second language, "why should Pakistan be different?"

hello my friends and countrymens as i have to talk about to encourage my national and mother language urdu so it does't need to talk in engilsh but as it is a compition therefore i shall describe a few things as my friend munda have told that he is not playing diplomacy,so i shall say ,Yes he is doing diplomacy because the english language could be the proud language of the british but urdu language is the proud language of pakistan.pakistan have came into bieng by the idialogy of two nations,and qauid-i-azam with all his fellowers have strongly inforced that urdu is the mother language of the muslims of the sub continet pak-u-hind,so urdu is the proud language of the all muslim people of pakistan.if we put a compitative look on all the languages of the world with english,so we will find that europe have devolped in their own languages in every field of the science and technology even they are using computer only in their own languages not in english ,they hate to learn english they hate to talk in english.if you will put a look on africa you will see that they are promoting french like munda sialkoti and aquari promting english,because they were the coulony of france like us as we were the coulony of the british.so they are getting education in french ,how strange is this that instead that we have to hate from these languages and cultures we are still slaves by our minds.actualy all these conquerer countries have destroyed the health wealth mind's cultures and even the languages of the couloniel countries,the british have killed the son's of our majesty king bahadur shah zafar infront of his eyes.they have destroyed the great history of the muslims,if you will get back to the great history of the muslims revolutionary developments ,you will see that they had never leart english but they had developed in their own languages.bieng a muslim we have a diffrent culture,diffrent path and differnt purpose of living and dieying,so it is the time to promote our self in science and tecknolgy bieng in our religiuos and in our mother language urdu ,so to remember all the onwards coming nations our sweet sweet home pakistan as an islamic democratic country in the proud language of urdu.at last i shall be remind one of the shair of the national poet of allama muhammad iqbal that
khudi ko kar buland itna keh her taqdeer say pehlay
khuda bundey say khud poochhey bata teri raza kia hai

Here are some of my points, more points would be given later.

I have red Team A's discussion and points on promoting International language English. As they said in their points that English is a language, which is used worldwide for communication, technology, and etc. At this point they are right!

However, our language is our identity. We are known as Pakistani's and people know us by our culture and language. One is talking today on promoting English. Have you thought that why they are doing it? I believe that English people and English has promoted itself on a scale that most of us beleice that we can't be successful without English. Nevertheless, we have to consider that promoting one's won identity is more important. Here we are not talking about the basics of a language. But, when it comes to debate every point should be discuued. Today we are discussing this topic in English. We are doing it because most of people believe that written in Urdu will not be able for everyone to understand. And if it's written in Roman Urdu many people don't understand much. They believe that today who ever knows how to read and write, knows English better than Urdu. But, we ourselves, Urdu lovers have to work in order to promote our language. As Team A's member said that it is spoken all over the world. It's computer language and in order for us to be successful we have to start it from the kindergarten for students. We are studying this language because we want to be successful. However, we shouldn't forget our own language. This language has beautiful wording. The example is in front of you. This forum "Pegham.com" is here to provide us knowledge about our International Language and we are here to promote it. The English language is spoken worldwide and today there are many people who are in favor of it. This language was promoted because many people who invented different things were English speakers. They did it because they wanted to make sure that their language and identity should be known. They did it to promote their own language. But, if we want to prove ourselves on world stage. We have to work for our own language too, same as they did. Getting knowledge and understanding what is happening around the world is a different issue. But, proving ourselves by using our own identity, culture, and language is a different thing. If we want to promote our language and we are than we have to look at its positive side. Also, I believe that whatever has been created through this language is not beneficial as a Muslim for us. Okay, many better things are invented and are making our lives easier. But, on other hand these things are not beneficial for us as a responsible Muslim. The world won't ask us what we want to promote, we have to tell others that what we want to promote. So, my friends we have to promote our language.

You are talking about the identity :khi: You are settling in Canada, why? If i say you are doing unjust with your country, you should be there within ur country to take part in its progress then where does ur arguments stand? I think discussing such stuff is quite a silly approach. Isn't it? Would you please mind clearing me a couple of questions. Suppose for the sake of arguments, we eliminate the English from our country. And you are going to be a medical student...will you opt to do M.B.B.S. in Urdu? Will it be recognized all over the world? Can you get job overseas? And tell me one more thing...what will your prefer...Your identity as urdu speaking or a good progress all over the country? You see English simply implies to the progress...no question about it. Please clear this minor point before moving ahead...and Alhamdullilah I have so much in my mind which i will discuss later :)

Today i am here to talk in favour of promoting English language.I accept urdu is our national language and very sweet language,bt we can't deny thay English language is also very important......It is used extensively as a second language and an official language throughout the world especially in pakistan , india , south africa and in many international organisations.English can be describes as a global language and its a dominant international language in communication, sciene, business and entertainment. English is currently the language most often studied and spoken by up to million people around the world, to at least a basic level.Nowadays Books, magazines, and newspapers written in English are available in many countries around the world.Its important for the betterment of the country.Today see china,its very fast growing country but they have not got success in international leval which they deserve,its because they cant speak english.so its very hard for them in international business like export business.
I am not against of speaking our national language,but we should promote english language in our country to come at an international level.Once Imran khan said......our country people are now aware the importance of english language........see any pak channel,in starting they will say few words in english bt then they start speaking in urdu.The only thing is to encourage them and promoting the language.

you r right that Quaid_e_Azam have inforced that Urdu is the mother language but don't forget that Qaid_e_Azam always talked in English in his every speech or debate.we know Pakistan is Islamic democracy country but Islam does not say that ignore English.ok i agree with u that to promote ourself in science and technology by Urdu,how can its possible without English?

so what we are doing since from 1947?we are just talking in english since from 1947,but for ur kind information i shall tell you that qauid-i-azam did't mention for english,the main thing he mentioned is work work and only work,and in his fourteen points he only and only pointed out urdu language for the people of pakistan and we can get eduaction without english as the blind's get education without eyes:khi:

And you are right I often seen outside Pakistan the whenever people ask about our mother language and if we are saying its Urdu and they replied we think that you are talking in Hindi but have you think why this happen as all over the world these Indians are widely extend and established because they know English language they can communicate in a better way than us, you can observe their speaking powers I have met abroad lots of Indians their speaking power of English was tremendous and due to this factor they are getting better opportunities than us ,just see the example of middle east your will find mostly accounts of companies are handled by Indians ,Indian men are kept as a sales man and so on .
We are not saying that we feel ashamed to have Urdu as a mother language, we are just emphasizing on the facts and significance of English language and the benefits, which we will get by knowing and using this language

as you have asked that how we can produce our product without english in the international market,so for this i will say my sweet sister that chinese are also producing their procts in the international market in their own language and this is the fact that in this time china have covered all the international market only in their own language,if u don't believe oppen a medicine from china and look that in which language they have given the details,it is only and only in their own language,and for ur kind information the indian movies are not in english,they are in pure hindi and they have damaged the market of hollywood in nearly all over the world

For indian movies there are subtitles in English .
And regarding china...how could we'll manage to understand a procedures or any prescription if it's written in chinese..there would be must some one who'll translate it in that language which would understand by him or us also its very rare i think that a chinese know urdu or we know chinese soo i think this could be managed by English as it is a 2nd most speakeable language.
