Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday. Adam was created on Friday and on it he entered Paradise and on it he was expelled from therein. The Hour will not be established except on Friday.”

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, when the unbeliever performs a good deed he is given a taste of its reward in the world. As for the believer, Allah will store his good deeds for him in the Hereafter and provide his sustenance in the world due to his obedience.”

Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would go out on the days of Eid and lead the prayer. When the Prophet finished the prayer and invoked peace, he would stand and turn to the people while they were sitting in their places of prayer. If he needed to dispatch an expedition he would mention it to the people, or if he had another need he would order them regarding it. The Prophet would say, “Give in charity. Give in charity. Give in charity.” The women would give the most of those who gave charity. Then the Prophet would return.

Abdullah ibn Umar reported: Umar bought a silk cloak from the market and took it to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, “O Messenger of Allah, take it and cloth yourself with it during the celebration (eid) and when the delegations visit you.” The Prophet said, “This clothing is for those who have no share in the Hereafter.” After a long while, the Prophet sent a silk cloak to Umar. Umar came to the Prophet with the cloak and said, “O Messenger of Allah, you said this clothing was for those who have no share in the Hereafter, yet you have sent me this cloak.” The Prophet said, “Sell it and take care of your needs with it.”

Abu Ad-Darda reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, when a servant curses something, the curse rises to the heaven and the gates of heaven close upon it. It turns right and left and if it does not find somewhere to go, it will return to that which was cursed only if it deserved to be curse, otherwise the curse will return to the one who made it.”

Umm Umarah Al-Ansari reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, entered her home and she served him food. The Prophet said, “Will you eat?” She said, “Indeed, I am fasting.” The Prophet said, “Verily, the angels send prayers upon the fasting person when others eat in his presence until they are finished.”

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Once a man suffered from thirst while he was walking on a journey. When he found a well, he climbed down into it and drank from it. Then he came out and saw a dog lolling its tongue from thirst and licking the ground. The man said: This dog has suffered thirst just as I have suffered from it. He climbed down into the well, filled his shoe with water, and caught it in his mouth as he climbed up. Then he gave the dog a drink. Allah appreciated this deed, so He forgave him.” It was said, “O Messenger of Allah, is there a reward for charity even for the animals?” The Prophet said, “In every living being there is a reward for charity.”
