Abu Mas’ud reported: A man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, “My animal has died, so help me.” The Prophet said, “I do not have anything.” Another man said, “O Messenger of Allah, I can show him someone who can help him.” The Prophet said, “Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a similar reward.”

Al-Mughira bin Shu’ba reported: On the day the Prophet’s son Abraham died, the sun eclipsed and the people said the eclipse was because of the death of Abraham. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah, and they do not eclipse because of the death or birth of anyone; so when you see them, call upon Allah and pray until the eclipse is clear.”

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be and blessings on him, said, “Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, said: I am as My servant expects Me and I am with him as he remembers Me. If he remembers Me in himself, then I will remember him in Myself; and if he mentions Me in a gathering, then I will mention him in a greater gathering. When he draws near Me by the span of his hand, I draw near him by the length of a cubit; and when he draws near Me by the length of a cubit, I draw near him by the length of a fathom; and when he comes to Me walking, I will come to him running.”
In the narration of Imam Muslim is added, “I am with him when he calls upon Me,” and, “Allah is more pleased with your repentance than a lost man in the desert who finds his camel.”

في رواية مسلم قال وَأَنَا مَعَهُ إِذَا دَعَانِي وقال لَلَّهُ أَفْرَحُ بِتَوْبَةِ عَبْدِهِ مِنْ أَحَدِكُمْ يَجِدُ ضَالَّتَهُ بِالْفَلَاةِ

Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Beware of sitting in the roads.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, we have nowhere else to sit and talk.” So he said, “If you insist, then give the road its right.” They said, “And what is its right, O Messenger of Allah?” He said, “Lower the gaze, avoid harming others, return greetings of peace, enjoining the good, and forbidding the evil.”

She did not give it food or water while it was imprisoned, neither did she set it free to eat from the vermin of the earth.”

Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri reported: Indeed, some people from the helpers asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he gave them. Then they asked for charity again and he gave them. Then they asked again and he gave them until all he had was gone. He said, “If I had anything, I would not withhold it. Whoever refrains from asking others, then Allah will make him content; and whoever would be self-sufficient, then Allah will make him self-sufficient; and whoever would be patient, then Allah will make him patient. There is no gift that is better and more comprehensive than patience.”
