    Food for Thought

    This week, its stir fried prawns with vegetables. It's a real scrumptious dish and very easy to cook for all those who are into sea food and healthy eating habits.



    Stir fried prawns with vegetables

    Ingredients

    Medium prawns (tail on) 1 cup

    Salt 1/2 tsp.

    Crushed red chilli 1 tsp

    Mushrooms whole 4 pcs.

    Oil 3 tbsp.

    Capsicum cut in strips 1 pcs.

    Carrot cut in strips 1 (medium size)

    Spring onion 1 (cut in 2 inch size)

    Green chilli whole 4 pcs.

    Lemon juice 1 tsp.

    Garlic chopped 1 tsp.

    Ginger julienne 1 tsp.

    How to prepare

    In oil fry garlic and add prawns. Fry the prawns for a minute and then add in the salt, mushrooms, carrot strips, green chilli and lemon juice and cook it all for a very little while. Now add capsicum and crushed red chilli. Put in the spring onion and serve it hot.I Ginger julienne - is when ginger is cut into thin fine vertical strips; the ginger may be added early with the prawns, for flavour, or, as a garnish on top as in Chinese dishes.
