    putting password for a flash disk is not a good idea, that is why the manufectures didn't provide that facility, because then you have to have a speciall machine for cleaning the password if you forget it.

    anyways , there are to many softwares that let you give a password to your flash. you have to put that file in your flash disk and as you enter it will ask you for the password.

    there is a very nice way of protecting your documents in the flash disk or in your computer. if you are windows xp user then Compressed folder will help you in give password for its contents.

    make a new compressed folder and put whatever you want to be protected inside and and then goto files menu and select password and then it will ask you for the password twice and the contents will be compressed as well protected with the password that you have provided.
