  • What Protects Me

    Her long, thick brown hair
    Falling against her back
    Her tan bronze skin
    Shining in the sunlight
    With baby soft curves

What happens when she steps outside?
She becomes nothing but a shadowy ghost
    Nothing more than a lady
In a hijab is what they thought
But she holds her head up high

As she walks down the streets
She sees men whistling at their girls
What do they think that women are
A piece of meat waiting to be inspected?
She feels so bad for them

But as she walks into her husbands arms
    Her partner
    Her one and only love
    Her husband
    She becomes transformed
    Into her beautiful self
For only his eyes to see

kia likhoo hala jee, likhnay ko bohat kuch hay but my feelings and thoughts are very disturbed.... in this 27 years of my life I have seen and observed such things very closely..... in news, in real, in many situation happening around us....

When it comes to protecting a lady/woman its really very different feelings all together..

We keep saying that a brother is very protector of his sister on the other hand brothers are the one who kill them, beat them, torture them in the name of HONOR!

Recent news, about a girl whose family thrown ACID on her face because she married to a person against their choice....

Now all those who taunt girls and harras them on road do also have their sisters at home and will never allow anyone taunting them aur whistling at them, why this double standard!!!

A husband after marraige is considered as a protector, will also keep looking for her past history and will torture her at some stage (not all do, but many news are suggesting the same) no matter he must have gone out with many girls in his own past... why this double standard!!

Women are dominated part of our society, we claim that we respect them but its all double standards that we have set in our brain!

May ALLAH light and guide our ways, AMEEN

            Fi Amaan ALLAH

PS: I normally feel very happy by posting something on site but this is the topic which makes me ANGRY and DEPRESSED... Sorry if you found me HARSH here!!!!!
