I wouldn't go for the messive definition. To me "love" is something to experience, we can't in true sense substantiate its meaning and translation as most probably our words somehow and somewhare could do unjustice while expounding it. So we can't adequately articulate the meaning and sense of LOVE in the words. So rather than clarifying just experience it - feel it.

"Love"
love is a deep and tender feeling ....when ever we hear the word love.....a smile comes to our face and heart beat start pumping fast...love is a greatest gift either we give or receive...love is a one thing through which we can over come the difficult times which we face in life..it minimises stress ,misunderstanding and negative thoughts and fills our lifes with happiness, peace and positive thinking..love is soo powerful that it can turn frown in to smile....Love is a great gift given by Allah to all human being....so love ur parents, brother & sisters , friends , mate and every one around u.....:)

Apart from what the amount and instensity of love we should extend to our beloved parents, bro and sis, would it not be wise to discuss our love for opposite gender i.e. our typical dreammate. I always fail to find the reason why the people are so reluctant and change its direction towards their family members despite having having so much love and affection for that typical person. It is a common sense that everyone love with his/her family members, then what the use of its further discussion :)
