Another Day
I cried a thousand tears today
And felt a lot of pain
I heard what my heart had to say
As it cried out in shame.
It was angry inside
As well as hurt
The tears would not subside
As I yelled "God this hurts!"
I dropped to my knees
And my heart I held tight
I yelled "Please!"
And screamed with all my might.
When all was said and done
And the tears had faded away
I knew I had won
At least for another day.
