Assalam O Aliukum,

Its the right time to start the Competition of June' 06
So folkz this month we are here to get to know how
do you feel about the weather "SUMMER" yes, some people think its so hot, some people really enjoy it .
So what is your way to think about summer, let us know here by submitting any poem (one-only) with the name of Poet/Poetess.
I would be happy to invite you all to come and
share your choice here.

Time Line:
Starting date: June, 1st, 06
Polling date: June, 20, 06
Results: Last Week of Month June 2006


Rules:

1) Each membet can submit just one poem. (more than one will not be counted, so bring ur best choice)
2) Poems without the name of Poet/Poetess will not be accepted here. So please bring the name of writer/poet.
3) Stick with the topic. chit-chats are not allowed here.
4) Just post poems here.
5) If you have any question, feel free to pm me (Aania) or Masood.

I've walked in Summer sunshine
Along a country lane,
And marvelled at the lovely green
Of trees and grass again.

The birds were singing happily
Within the skies of blue,
All Nature seemed to wear a smile
With cares and worries few.


The Summer sunshine touched my heart
In warmth and joy complete,
Each tiny creature of the fields
Dashed by on running feet.


A gentle breeze then whispered by
To lend a magic cool,
While children played so merrily
Within the swimming pool.


The miracles of Summertime
Are with us everywhere,
The fragrance of the flowers in bloom
Did permeate the air.


So much of beauty in our world
God sends His love below,
To touch each heart with gentle peace,
In Summer's sun aglow.

Sun - The Inspiration



At the first stroke of dawn
Can see the Sun coming out of hiding;
Magnanimous glory is it's rise
Engulfing darkness with it's light


Bathing the earth - the rivers, mountains, trees
Waking up life to start the day;
With it's rays - giving new life - a new beginning
As the living set about their chores


Bringing unrest souls on their feet
Flowers on to full bloom;
Infusing a ray of fresh hope
In each life's ordeals


It's radiance gaining with passing hours
Reminding us of life's ups and downs;
An inspiration to the down-trodden
To take life one day at a time.
