woh mere hoontooN per hansi dhoond rahi thi
jo milli nahi kabhi woh khushi dhoond rahi thi

hum likh rahay thay maut ka fasanay
woh pagal un mein zindagi dhoond rahi thi

ek dost k bichharnay k zakham bhoolay bhi na thay
kisi ki phir hamein dosti dhoond rahi thi

suna tha us ne k mein shayer ban gaya hooN
usay tasweer milli khud ki shayeri dhoond rahi thi

ro chukay itna k ek ashk nahi bacha
aankh hai k ab bhi nami dhoond rahi thi

hum uddasi mein Anjum dhoond rahay thay andhere
ik chirag liye hum ko roshni dhoond rahi thi
