Dard-e-tanhai

Aao lay jao meray dil kay khazanay
SeeNch daalo yeh apnay gulshan veeranay

TanhaaioN ka zehar piya hai is amrit kay liyay
TaNz-o-fiQroN maiN jiya hai is amrit kay liyay

Barti gayi,barti gayi aur talaash tab junoon ho gayi
Meri deewanagi mehfiloN maiN haNsi ka majmoon ho gayi

Ukta kay uth gaya har aashna kareeb say
Aur ziNdagi ruk gayi us maNzar ajeeb pay

Ik taraf urnay ki lalak
Ik taraf zameeN ki pakar
Ik taraf nai duniya ka shouq
Ik taraf ajnabiyat ka khauf

Magar phit khudi nay behoshi ki aakhri zaNzeer bhi tor di
ParoN maiN apnay hosh ka dum bhar,aasmanoN say hor li

Nigaah phir uth gayi jeet haar kay sawaal say
Ufaq dar ufaq barta gaya noor hosh kay jamaal say

Phir dil dil lay kar gaya yeh wusat-e-ahsaas
Behosh sab hujoom thay laut aayaa maiN udaas

TanhaaioN maiN magar ab bhi
Umeed ki lau jalti hai.
