Meri takhleeq say to tu mayoos hi hoga
Na to lafzoN say taraashaa hai
Inquilaab ka bharam mainay
Na hi takhleeq meri mai hai
Kisi jahaad ki pukaar
Na farda ka koi dilfareb saraab
Na hi maazi ka paihum israar
Na hi ismaiN hai fusoon-e-alfaaz kay kartab
Na hi nashist lootnay kay andaaz
Aur maflooj zehanoN kay qaabil nahiN
Ki ismaiN hai imkaan-e-sad-parwaaz

I am talking about myself.The poet.The poetry is ,usually a tool to understand n crystsllise one's thoughts n emotions.In the process,if the poetry,thus composed,is liked by the readers,it is an additional reward.
To live in dream too is a flight of fancy but it ,again,should be firmly rooted in reality.

ap ki sonch achi hae magar kahin kahin kuch lafaz be rabt se lage agar lafzon ko mani ke sath jor kar likha jaye to bahot khobsorat ho jo main ne samjha who likh diya agar koi bat bori lage to maf kar dijye ga,,

Kabi jo tu zindagi ki karii dhoop mein palat ke dekhay;;
Tu bohat si khush rung yadein;;
Gulaab lehjoon ki dilfaraib batein;;
Beetay lamhoon ki chandni;;
Tere dil ko bahaar kare;;

I am thankful to both of you for the candid comments.I have maintained that poetry or for that matter,any art form,is primarily to seek meaning for yourself.It is the reson art came into being.Yes! the urge to be understood is always there.But it is not necessary to follow the traditional paths only.Exploration and experimentation are the wings of human mind.
I think the foremost prerequisite of an aesthetically beautiful poem are:
1.It should have the clarity of thought.
2.It should be able to evoke the intensity of emotion that the poet felt.
I try to fulfill these as much as I can.
Reader is very important to me,my friend.

Alfaz itnay khoobsoorat hein k mein hairaan hoon ...sach mein aur jis tarah phir
aap nay onn k matlab b likhay ta k mujh jaisay parhnay waly k liyay aasani

anyway ...aap ki yeh nazm waqi ......Buhat dilfreb hai .....aur ek baat kahoon ..mein kabhi shair kehnay walay ko ghalatnahi kehti ..
kion jab wo saoch raah hota hai likh raha hota hai tu ek ..aur he duniya mein hota hai ..oss ko poora haq hai wo waqt ko hallaat ko situations ko jaisay assume karta hai wo likhay ..aur likhan har k bass ka roag b nahi..
maflloj zehan kabhi parwaaz nahi kar saktay Brijinder jee ..:comfort: so dont worry ..aap ki nazam bey had achi hai.....baat samjh ki hai ..baqi KHIYAL ko qaid nahi kiya ja sakta ..yeh mera kehna hai :)....aur haan likhna kabhi mutt choriyay bas ...ostadoun ko parhtay rahiyay jaisay k ..Mirza Ghalib ....Zoaq .....Dag dehlvi.....aur meer ....sab ....Ko ta k ..khiyalat Polish hotay rahein ....ghabra-eyya mutt....:)Khush rahiyay

Gul saheba,
Thanx a lot for the words of appreciation.Besides the greats of old-world,like Ghalib,Meer etc,I have also loved reading Faiz,Sahir,Faraaz,Kaifi,Nadeem qasmi,Parvin Shakir etc. Ghalib is the shakespeare of the urdu poetry but these modern poets spaek the idiom of modern world and relate to the pains,joys,frustrations etc of of post-industrialized era and so more accessible to the heart n mind.I have also been greatly influenced by the poetry of Walt Whitman and few other english poets and particulrly,the German philosopher,Nietzsche.This intellectual journey was really marvelous and it is still an ongoing process.
My poetry reflects what I imbibed from all of them Plus my own understanding,however littel,of the world around me.
