Brijinder aik bar phir dil ki gehraiyon se aap ka shukriya ada karti hoon k aap ne apna itna khoobsurat sa kalam humaray members k sath share kiya.

Iss mein koi shakk nhi aapki shayeri ka aik aik lafz aap ki soch ki wus'at, zehn ki pukhtagi, urdu zuban se lagao aur zindagi k tajurbay ki akkasi karta hey.

Muskaan,
I am really thanful for the kind words of appreciation coming straight from heart.I want to share few of my inner beliefs about aesthetics with the readers with a hope of having a stimulating,mature n soul searching dialouge.
Here it is:
I believe in exploration and not just sticking to our conditioning.Writing for the sake of writing is not my cup of tea.Just becuase some one have a knack of arranging words in beautiful way,does not make one an artist.This is search with in without any hang-ups.It should be a search with utmost honesty n intensity.
Whatever I have studied has taught me that Art is the expression of one's intellectual n emotional inner landscapes.For that their are certain conditions which MUST be fulfilled before it becomes a work of art.
1.It must have clarity of thought.
2.It must have a personal signature in style which can be a mixyure of influence of some previous great artists PLUS one's own distinct style.
3.It must clearly express what it originally set out to express in the same intensity.
4.It must have its own inner rythm n charactor.
5.It is able to crystalise the emotions n thoughts.
6.It must go to readers' heart n mind with an intensity.
If a poem or any art work satisfy these preconditions it becomes much more than being merely a work of craftmanship.No matter how good but it will otherwise be Craftmanship only.
SO I REQUEST YOU ALL TO MEASURE MY POEMS ON THESE PARAMETERS N THEN JUDGED PLZ.
So we have to choose very consciousely what we want in ART to evelove it- merely our insistence on existing parameters or experimentation? It is not very difficult to become GOOD craftsman if we just learn to stick to certain rules but to be an artist is entirely different ballgame. And this is NOT the negation of the existing parameters at all but the search for some more forms of expressions. I love all those poets far too much.
I am not here to hurt anyone here. I hope my comments will not be taken personally but be a percusor for a serious debate here. And finally it is the readers who help in bringing the new forms into acceptance by their open appreciation of the poems which weave magic on their hearts n still not conform to existing parameters.

Brijinder ji aap key alfaaz bohat khoobsurat aur bar-haq hain. Kisi bhi safar per jaaney sey pehley us safar ka asbaab karna bohat zaroori hai warna raastey mein bohat dushwari pedah aati hai. Hamari aur khasoosan nau-jawan nasal ki sab sey badi problem yehi hai keh hamarey ander aik johar to mojood hai magar ussey tarashney wala johri nahin milta. Hamesha sey yehi hota chala aaya hai keh raastah dikhaney wala mojood ho to safar kaatna aasan ho jata hai. Lekin aisa rehbar nahin milta. Agar koi mil jaey to woh khud ko is kashtee ka nakhuda samajhta hai aur rehnumaee bhi apni marzi sey karta hai. Agar aisa aik rehnuma mil jaey to bohat sey gohar hain jo sanwarein jaa saktey hain. Aik mehrbaan nazar dil ki safaee karney key liye kaafi hoti hai, masla yeh hai keh woh mehrbaan nazar kon daaley?? Main ba-zat-e-khud us goharshinaas ki talash mein hoon mil jaey to meri bikhri hui sochein ko aik tasalsul mil jaey ga. Meri tarha is forum per aur bhi bohat sey tifl-e-maktab us rehnumaa ki talash mein hain. Platform to mojood hai, koi hai jo in bikhrey huwey zehno ko aik jila bakhsh sakey? Kya pattah yehi sey koi neya Iqbal ban ker pedah ho.... Koi hai jo issey apni zimmedari samajh ley? :)

Hi Masood,
Thanx for your honest words.We donot need Iqbal or some other great artist to show us the way.yes! they can crystalise our thoughts but then we have to sculpt our own way.I have read much much more than what i have written n it has been a very fulfilling journey.I have a passion for reading n it made me go to different languages's litrature n also exlpore different forms of art.I remeber Faiz sahib's she'r:
Jo saMbhal saMbhal kay bhatak gayay woh farib-kurda raah thay
Woh muqaam-i-ishq ko pa gayay jo bhatak bhatak kay saMbhal gayay.
This has been my credo as well.Only by comparative art,we can appreciate the depths that has been reached.I am 48 years old n still on the journey to learn.Not only learn but imbibe whatever i find best in different languages or differnt art forms.
Hope I make myself clear.
Hope to have this stimulating debate an ongoing process

Donot lead me,I may not follow you
Do not follow me,I may not lead you
Walk beside me and be my love

This is how i envision a philosopher/guide should be.Just giving one the inklings of the wonders that one can have but prodding him/her to reach for them himself/herself.
