tera jub kabhi mujh say saamna ho ga
rub jaanay wo manzar bhi kiya manzar ho ga

qadam qadam pay sitaray jagmaga uttein gay
teray chaand say maathay pay bhi paseena ho ga

teri khusboo se meray dil o damagh mehak utthein gay
khushi kay maray teri aankhoun mein bhi paani ho ga

shaam dhaltay hi tou meray khayaaloun mein uttar aata hay
mujhay yaqeen hay tanhaai mein tou mujhi ko yaad karta hoga

khusboo teray aanchal se jo hawaaoun ney udaayi
ulfat ki kali dil mein meray teri adaoun ney khilaayi

tham tham key barasna kabhi cham cham key barasna
sawan ko yeh adaa bhi teri aankhoun ney sikhaayi

ajab sa rooh pey nasha hey ab to raat din
ghazab ki thi wo shey jo teri nighahoun ney pilaayi

qaidi teri zulfoun ka ban jana chahta hey yeh dil
issay umr bhar ki asseeri hi chahiyae na key rehaayi

waqt-e-wasal hum shukr-e-Khudaa hi karein gey jaanan!
wo ghadi bhi hogi apni duaaoun sey jo aayi

Tashnagi-e-dil ko us ney kabhi bhujayaa hi naheen
Wo mah rukh khul key kabhi samnaye aaya hi naheen

Deewangi sey khuch kum bhi naheen apni justjoo
Shayad apni duaaoun mein asar abhi aaya hi naheen

Muhabbat bhi badi ajab shey thehri aaye dosto!
Taalib-e-wafa bhi hey aour kabhi azmaya bhi naheen

Dil ney ussay apna hi mana hey har soorat aye Sakhir
Wo jo apna naheen ab tak magar paraya bhi naheen
