Homemade Cheese Crackers! Only 6 ingredients!
Recipe:
4 Tablespoons of butter cut into small pieces
8 ounces of grated cheese
1 1/4 cups of flour
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon of smoked paprika
2-4 Tablespoons of ice water
(the less water the better...but we needed all 4)
Put all the ingredients except the water into your mixing bowl.
(we used the kitchenaid...food processor would be ideal)
Blend until all mixed.
Then add 1 T of ice water and blend.
Add another...blend, you get it.
Until it makes clumps.
Pour out onto lightly floured surface
knead into ball
Cover with cling wrap.
put in fridge for 30 minutes.
Then take 1/2 of the dough and roll it out about 1/4" to 1/8" thick
We used a pizza cutter to just cut it all up into uneven squares...
but you could use a cookie cutter at this point.
place on cookie sheet...I lightly misted ours with cooking
spray just in case...separate the pieces.
Then bake in the oven, 375* for 7-9 minutes.
We went with the 9.
They should puff up and get a slight tan on the edges.
Let them cool. They smell so good!
Try not to inhale them.
