Sweet bread cigars: quick & easy Iftar delight
Ingredients:
12-14 slices of bread.
1 pack cream
1 beaten egg to seal the edges
oil for deep frying
For syrup:
1/2 cup sugar
1 stick cinnamon
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp Orange blossom water
make the syrup by combining sugar, water & cinnamon & when it thickens Add orange blossom water.
Remove from heat & allow it to cool.
Method for making the cigars:
Roll out each slice with a rolling pin till flat & take out the sides.
Place all the cigars on a plate & cover wit a wet cloth.
Heat the oil over medium heat & fry 3-4 cigars at a time until golden all over.
Drain of the oil & dip in cold syrup that u had prepared eariler( do not dip in hot syrup or they get soggy), Place the cigars on a serving dish & sprinkle with crushed pista" fostog" & serve.
