    Fish Steaks

    Ingredients

    Use tuna, jewfish, Spanish mackerel, king fish or any firm fish. Serves 4 750 g ( 1 half lb.) fish steaks 2 cloves garlic 1 half teaspoons salt l teaspoon finely grated fresh ginger half teaspoon ground turmeric half teaspoon ground l black pepper half teaspoon chili powder, optional lemon juice oil for frying fresh coriander leaves to garnish lemon wedges to garnish

    Cooking Instructions

    Wash fish and dry on paper towels. Crush garlic with salt. mix with ginger. turmeric. peppers chili powder and enough lemon juice to make a paste. Rub this well over the fish on both sides, cover and leave for 90 minutes. In a large frying pan heat just enough oil to cover base of pan and when hot put in the fish steaks. Fry on medium heat until cooked on one side, then turn slices carefully with a fish slice and fry other side. Serve on platter garnished with coriander leaves and lemon wedges.

    CREAMED PRAWNS

    Ingredients

    Prawns, cooked & minced 2 cups Paneer, cut 1 cup Lime juice 2 tsps. Mustard paste 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp. Green chilies, minced 2 tbsps. Coriander leaves, chopped A handful Pepper To taste Chili powder To taste Onion, minced (small) 1 no. Salt To taste

    Cooking Instructions

    1.Blend the paneer with lime juice, mustard and spices. 2.Add a little water if necessary while blending. 3.Keep the creamy paste ready and mix the prawns, chilies, onions & coriander just before serving.

      Cocunut fish fry

      Ingredients

      750 gms ... Sole/ Bekhti fillets 3 tsp ... Red Chillies (fresh) 2 tbs ... Cocunut dessicated 2 tsp ... Ginger, chopped 6 ... Garlic cloves 1 1/2 tbs ... White Vinegar 3 tbs ... Maida (flour) Salt to taste Oil for frying Lemon wedges for garnishing

      Cooking Instructions

      1. Wash the fish fillets and pat dry. 2. Sprinkle maida over fillets and keep aside. 3. Grind togeather,red chillies, cocunut, ginger, garlic, vinegar and just enough water to make fine paste. 4. Add salt and evenly coat fillets with this paste. 5. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry fish till crisp. Serve immediately, accompanied by lemon wedges.
