Hazil & Chocolate Fancies
Ingrediants:
200g = 8 oz .......... softened butter
100g = 4 oz........... caster sugar
100g = 4 oz.......... flour
2 eggs ............ beaten
200g = 8 oz ........ icing sugar
2 tsp .............. cold milk
50g = 2 oz ........ plain chocolate
small handfull hazilnuts
Method:
1)Beat together 4 oz butter & 4 oz sugar until pale & fluffy.
2)Beat in eggs adding a little flour with each.
3)Gently fold inrest of flour
4)Transfer equal amounts to well buttered moulds.
5)Bake in preheated oven at 180C/350F for 20 - 25 mins,until well risen & firm but springy to the touch
6)Turn out in tha serving dish & let them cool
7)For chocolate icing , beat 4 oz butter until soft.
8)Melt chocolate in bowl ,over a pen of boiling water.
9)Gradually beat in icing sugar alternatively with milk & cooled melted chocolate
10)Spread over cooled cakes & decorate with hazilnuts .
