What is Diabetes, Its types, causes and symptoms?
Diabetes is a disease that is found common in different age of people of different nation. Most often it is called diabetes mellitus or simply diabetes. A person who got diabetes usually found with high blood pressure (Blood glucose) and sugar levels, and becomes frequently thirsty, hungry and “Polyuria” i.e. frequent urination. Basically it is inadequate production of insulin for a body. Also body cell doesn’t response properly, due to which production of insulin effected. As insulin (i.e. hormone), works as energy for individual’s body cell.
There are three main types of diabetes that are;
Type 1 diabetes
Type 2 diabetes
Gestational diabetes
Type 1:
An individual found with diabetes type 1 usually found insulin production problem. Human body doesn’t produce insulin properly that produces energy. Many experts suggest insulin injection or to wear insulin pump that provides suitable artificial insulin to the body. Such type of patient referred as insulin dependent diabetes (mellitus). Such type of diabetes found before the age of 40year and even found in teenage person raise 20 to 23 percent (reported by centers for diabetes control and prevention).At this stage patient need regular insulin injection for rest of life and have to maintain their blood sugar level with specific diet and checkup.
Type 2:
Second type diabetes is a common type of diabetes that found 90% in world-wide patient; referred to non insulin dependent diabetes. In that case insulin does not produces or work in human body. Human body cells fail to produce insulin and did not response properly. An individual having overweight got maximum risk to get this type of diabetes. People who took proper diet, extensive exercise and balance weight can control such type of diabetes.
Gestational diabetes:
Such type of diabetes found in female especially pregnant time period. Due to their high level of glucose in their body, insulin does not produces properly that may transfer glucose into body cells. Such type of diabetes becomes disappear or improve after giving birth. It is treatable with careful diet and medical supervision. It is necessary to control this type of diabetes because it can damage the health of both mother and baby.
What are the Causes of Diabetes:
It is important to know the causes of diabetes. Most of people think that it may cause by eating too much sugar or having stress. These factors are not the causes of diabetes but many other factors, although these factors may link the diabetes indirectly. For example eating too much sugar may cause obesity and similarly stress may cause autoimmune disease.
Causes of diabetes type 1 are still debatable and not clear yet. But most of expert suggests that it occur due to genes. This type of diabetes transfers from person to person by transferring of genes and commonly found an individual by birth.
