To fail is not the same as being a failure. I can
Have many failings and yet still be a far cry from
Being a failure. To fail is not the disgrace most of
Us think it is. To make a mistake means that we
Belong to the human race. Failure is only a very
Temporary setback. Failure is never the final
Chapter of the book of our life unless you give up
And quit.
Nothing worthwhile is ever achieved without
Taking the risk of failure once in awhile. If I
Risk much to achieve something worthwhile and
I fail, that is not a disgraceful failure.
A teacher once told me that failure is a natural
Preparation for success. This seemed very strange
To me at the time...after all, I was 13 and I knew
Everything... LOL ... But since then, and many decades
Later, I have learned that success can be much
More difficult to live with than an occasional
Failure. I have discovered that with each failure,
I have been given the opportunity of something
Greater in the long run. The seeds that are planted
When trying to figure out why I failed, sometimes
Brought me to the final solution and therefore
Success. I have also discovered that what I do with
My failure is up to me. If I learn a lesson from my
Failure then it was a blessing. I hope that each time
I fail in life, I use the opportunity to learn how to
Do things a better way for the next time I come
Across the same problem or one like it... I hope that
I have learned where to watch out for pitfalls and
How to avoid them. This is especially true of my
Spiritual Life and how it fits into my eternal plans.
