Eid al-Adha or the Festival of Sacrifice is a religious festival celebrated by Muslims and Druze worldwide in commemoration of the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to Allah(Arabic for God). The devil tempted Ibrahim by saying he should disobey Allah and spare his son. As Ibrahim was about to sacrifice his son, Allah intervened and instead provided a ram as the sacrifice. This is why today all over the world Muslims who have the means to, sacrifice an animal (usually a goat or a sheep), as a reminder of Ibrahim's obedience to Allah. The meat is then shared out with family, friends (Muslims or non-Muslims), as well as the poor members of the community.

- Ibrahim AS ne aik din apne bete se kaha k mein ne khuwab dekha he k mein tum ko zibah kur raha ho,yani mujhe hukum dia gaya he k mein tumhae ALLAH ki rah mein zibah kuro,yeh hukm is nazar k silsile mein tha jo app ne mani thi.farzand ne urz kia k ai abba jan,app ko rub ne hukm dia he is ko baja laye aur apne rub ki ata'at farmai,goya farzund samjh gay k yeh Allah ka hukm he issi lie unho ne yun kaha k jo hukm kia gaya he wesa hi kijie,yeh nahi kaha k jo khuwab dekha he is k mutabiq kijie .....
- Hazrat ibrahim (AS) ne mutwatir 3 rat yahi khuwab dekha tha ...........
- ba'az Ashab ne kaha he k khalil Allah ne jub apne farzund k hulaq per churi pehrni chahi to nida aae k Ibrahim(AS) larke ko chor do kyun k hamari murad farzund ko qurban kurna na thi bulke murad yeh thi k farzund ki muhabbat dil se khali ho jay
