Assalam o Alaikum!

Expressing one's self is not an easy job to do, it becomes harder when the people you're expressing yourself to are of different mind frames and of different school of thought, but lets try.

I feel like as Muslim citizen of so called "ISLAMIC COUNTRY" we are betraying ourselves and others and ALLAH Subhanahu wa' Ta'ala as well since we are occupied lots of different cultures in which the actual essence of ISLAM is missing.

It is :alhamd: the month of Ramadan and we are fasting and thinking that we are doing an "IBAD'AH" but we don't even know the spirit of Fasting.

We do fast and stop eating and drinking but we forget to keep our hands, eyes, tongues and the rest of our body parts from committing sins. We still look at stuff that is not permissible to be seen, we still listen to stuff that isn't allowed to be heard and we still do stuff that isn't permitted to be done.

One of the regular practice that we perform in our houses is that we don't take care of the "Parda" and we think that we are doing a great job by fasting. For instance at the time of Seher cousins sit together and eat, they laugh together and talk to each other without knowing that this is not allowed in ISLAM as cousins (female vs. male) are "Na-Mehramat" and parda is "FARZ" too just like Fasting is and same happens when we sit together at the Aftar time and don't care about what is going on.

This also includes "Dewar / Bhabhi, Jeth / Bhabhi" Parda which is a very must thing to be observed.

I hope and pray that ALLAH Subhanahu wa Ta'ala guide us to the right and make it easy for us to do the right.
