What an thrilling match we have witnessed just now, with Pak holding their nerve towards the end to emerge victorious. Chasing 142, they got off to an explosive start, but lost wickets in a heap, with their batsmen falling to loose shots. Misbah however stood firm at the other end and stitched an important stand with Asad and then with Afridi to take his side home. On the other hand, the Sri Lankans will be gutted as another 10-15 runs would have made a huge impact to this match, but they were poor in their batting, which has been a concern for them off late and they finish the tour on a disappointing note.

Misbah: I am extremely happy with the team effort. We were under some pressure initially, but spinners brought us back into the game. Afridi and I discussed and thought if one of us stayed till the end, we can pull this off. I would like to thank the crowd, which has suppported us and we felt like we are playing back at home.

Aizaz Cheema: I would like to thank my coach, captain and my family for their support. I bowled a tight line and was rewarded with the wickets. We had a plan to restrict them to under 150 and we did well towards the end to stick to our plan.

Aizaz Cheema is the Man of the Match for his excellent bowling figures of 4/30

قابلِ تعریف فتح! ایک وقت میں تو لگ رہا تھا کہ سری لنکا دو سو تک لے جائیں گے مگر سعید اجمل، محمد حفیظ اور چیما نے لاجواب باؤلنگ کا مظاہرہ کیا۔ اور آفریدی نے اپنے مخصوص انداز میں دو چھکا لگا کر میچ پاکستان کے حق میں پلٹ دیا۔ سپر!
