    Pak to boycott IPL broadcast

Cable Operators Association of Pakistan President captain Jabbar A Khan told espnstar.com that Pakistan will boycott IPL broadcast.

    By Ayanjit Sen

Speaking to espnstar.com, Khan said, "We have decided to boycott the broadcasting of all matches of the third edition of the Indian Premier League. It will not be shown anywhere across the country.

"This decision to boycott the IPL matches was taken after the shabby treatment meted out to our cricketers during the auction. And if any individual in Pakistan choose to view IPL matches through dish, then we will cordon off the house."

In the auction in Mumbai this week, all the eight IPL franchises ignored 11 Pakistani players who were available in the auction for sale.

The franchises later clarified that the Pakistani players' availability was not certain and they couldn't risk their money on them.

"Why did they include 11 Pakistani players in the list for the auction at the first place?," asked Khan.

He also added, "We have requested the government of Pakistan to start a league of our own."
