  • Rugby World Cup 2015 : Extra 30,000 tickets to go on sale.

Fans will have a further opportunity to buy England and quarter-final tickets when more Rugby World Cup 2015 tickets go on general sale next week.

With unprecedented demand for tickets, an additional 30,000 tickets will go on sale at 10:00 BST on Thursday 25 June, including five matches at Twickenham Stadium. In total, there will be around 80,000 tickets on sale for 26 matches across 10 venues, including category C and D prices available at five of these fixtures.
There will be 3,000 tickets for the opening ceremony and England v Fiji on Friday 18 September, 4,000 tickets for each of the Twickenham quarter-finals, as well as tickets for Australia v Wales on Saturday 10 October and France v Italy on Saturday 19 September. All of these tickets are category A and B.
The newly released tickets are a mixture of handbacks from the Rugby World Cup Limited commercial programme, extra seats from the venues and tickets that have been registered for resale from fans that can no longer use their tickets.

N.B. Asterix indicates the newly released tickets on 25 June
Managing Director of England Rugby 2015, Steve Brown, said: "With over 2 million tickets sold and less than 100 days to go, the appetite to watch the world's best teams is continuing to grow. This latest release of tickets will see further availability for five big matches at Twickenham including England's opening game against Fiji and the two quarter-finals, as well as England v Uruguay, giving fans who missed out last time another opportunity to come to the tournament.
"The official ticket resale service is still live via tickets.rugbyworldcup.com and provides support to fans who wish to sell tickets for matches they can no longer attend. Fans should only buy tickets from official sources to ensure their ticket is valid for entry at Rugby World Cup 2015 matches.”
Tickets are also still available via the official travel (domestic and international supporter tours) and hospitality programmes. More details on these programmes can be found at www.worldcup2015-rugby.com.

    Official resale service

Fans can also sell tickets for any match they can no longer attend at face value, through a secure, transparent and authorised system via tickets.rugbyworldcup.com.
The simple resale service, which is free to use, allows fans to choose which tickets they want to sell. This self-service option will keep fans informed of the status of their tickets with updates throughout the posting and resale process. Fans can also log into their account at any stage and withdraw tickets from resale should they change their mind. Any ticket posted for resale will appear on the website, www.worldcup2015-rugby.com, within 72 hours.

Posting a ticket for resale does not guarantee a sale; the seller will only receive payment if the ticket is purchased. If the ticket is sold the selling customer will receive an email notification to confirm the sale.

The official resale programme will run up to and during the Tournament. There will be a 24 hour cut-off point prior to a match when, if a ticket hasn't been sold, it will remain the property of the selling fan and made available for them to use to attend the match.
