  • Pakistan in whirlwind of problems

PAKISTAN has been going through grave problems these days. On one hand, India and Afghanistan allegations about infilteration while on the other hand, domestic terrorism are what is bringing the country to the brink of ravine.

As far as the Indian allegations, they are older and habitual but what is worrisome is Afghanistan that is following the Indian policy towards Pakistan and that's what Bush wishes. Who are Afghans and who were refugees? Who gave refuge to 3-4 millions of homeless Afghans when USSR invaded Afghanistan? Who risked to expel the Red Army from Afghanistan? Where was Mr Karzai then? Why are they closing eyes to the goodness of Pakistan done for Afghanistan? In my view, Afghanistan can not pay for what Pakistan did in the past.

To be honest, we are now reaping what we cultivated that time. Klashnikov and heroin culture was introduced with the migration of Afghans in Pakistan. Even uptill now we are suffering here in terms of drug-trafficking. Why the hell we always forget the fact that who is the top grower of poppy crop? Pakistan or Afghanistan? Yes, it's Afghanistan.

The domestic terrorism has been going since long. Sometimes it adopts the form of sectarian violence while sometimes suicide bombings like what happened in Karachi on 2nd March.

Most of the newspapers saying that massive protest was staged against the Bush's visit to India but Pakistan greeted him with suicide bombing leaving one of US diplomat with other killed in Karachi. Who are behind the gruesome act lying with the government to investigate.

Lastly, it was really a shameful matter to learn that all the security arrangements were under the control of US securitymen while Pakistani personnel worked as subordination. So that's Pakistan where our own securitymen looked like foreigner.
