Federal Minister for Finance, Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh on Friday unveiled the Federal Budget for the Fiscal Year 2011-12 with an outlay of Rs. 2,767 billion showing an increase of 14.2 per cent against last year.

Aap is budget ko kis nazar se dekhtay hein? Especially we will discuss it's pros & cons.

me iss budget ko apni hi nazar say dikhta hun ...or mukhtasir ye kay we ran out of gold long time ago and now we are running short of our national assets , if we continued this practice of printing the currency ...we are definitely going to become ZIMBABWE....lakin Allah say dua ha kay wo jald Pakistan me koi achi pari nazil kerain ..taa kay aik chuu mantar say PK kay halat TUNN ho jaain ...

Yes, again a very low allocation for Education and Health Sector comparing to Benazir Income support Program. Do you think it is justified?

No it is not ...income support program is not being operated under strict rules. Income support means "income support" not added benefits to monthly income or "free allowances" . Most percentage of benazir income support beneficiaries are not "real needy people" who want support. In fact it is just big money scam in which so far, only a privileged class has been served to maintain a healthy vote bank for the PPP. On the other hand education in eyes of our government is just a side business ( those idiots dont know the fact that if they put their 100% in making some top class Pk institutions as top class regular international universities there are more chances of recovery. UK is so widely known country for maintaining a good education business by keeping up some good standards for international standards. There are many different tributaries and classes if we seriously think education as a revenue generating industry.

It is beyond my understanding that such hefty amount of 34 BN is being allocated under the BISP while the Education, Health and flood relief allocation collectively hardly gone past to that of BISP allocation. Distribution of fund is done through the Parliamentarians in equal number (8000 to each member of the National Assembly and Senate and 1000 to each member of the Provincial Assemblies) irrespective of party affiliations. These evidently testify your concern that they are entertaining privileged class as to maintain their vote bank. Only 14 BN for Education Sector and 16 BN for Health Sector make no logical room for this scheme to bread up. Another tricky whirlpool introduced in the budget is the reduction of GST from 17% to 16% basically aimed to so-called reduction in the inflation which will collectively make a difference of 120BN while on the other hand many subsidies have been withdrawn amounting 280 BN adding additional burden of 160 BN on PPL of Pakistan. I happened to listen a govt. spokesman saying reduction of GST will neutralize the impact of withdrawn subsidies, what a bullshit. I simply fail to understand why the Education and Health sector is given such a low grant approximately 20% less than that of last budget. BISP is not going to bring a healthy change in Pakistan. People have become habitual and mindset of dependency would prevail till eternity. It will not going to generate a single job other than few already monopolized the organization chart. Putting big investment in Education can engage big force in various departments and likewise it could potentially regenerate some revenue to bring back in budget circle. Education is an asset which is fully compromised.
