Please join us for a protest demonstration on
Friday, 5 December, 2008 at 3pm, Aabpara Chowk Islamabad
against the continuing fallouts of the imperialist 'war on terror'.
The demonstration is being held in the wake of the MQM's latest terror campaign in Karachi. Under the guise of fighting 'Talibanisation', MQM goons have been attacking Pakhtoons who have fled their homes in NWFP and FATA due to incessant aerial bombardment. The result has been a flurry of ethnically-charged violence which has paralysed the city.
The demonstration will demand accountability of the MQM, which is a sitting partner in government. We will also repeat our long-standing calls for an end to the 'military operations' in FATA and NWFP and severing of the establishment's ties with 'jihadi' groups so that genuine peace can be established in the region and forced migrations come to a halt.
