Will Imran Khan be Killed by MQM ?
Will Imran Khan be Killed by MQM ?
Saturday, May 26 at 03 13 AM
Few days ago, I was talking with my friend Fraz, when out of nowhere he told me he dreaded that Imran Khan will be killed (Fraz is die hard fan of Nawaz Sharif but also a true lover of Pakistan, thus care about all our GOOD MEN ), not in near future but when the outrage for May 12 massacre cools down MQM will come after Imran Khan.
At that moment I dismissed his idea, arguing that Imran Khan is too big of a leader for MQM to even think about killing him. But in the last few days, the more i think about his fear the more I realize that it is more than possible, specially his point that they will kill him when every thing is settled down and no body will even think that they are behind his killing.
Take a look at MQM s' history, it is filled with these kinds of incidents since its inception. This will certainly not be the first time they will be doing target killing. Nobody and I mean nobody can criticize MQM and live happily after in Pakistan. Apart from killing the countless unknown public of Pakistan, they have not shy away from killing influential people.
They have killed former Sindh Governor Hakim Mohd Saeed. The party is also accused of involvement in the Nishtar Park bombing on 11 April, 2006 as well. The blast killed the entire Sunni Tehrik leadership in religious gathering marking the birth of Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallalaho-alahe-wasalam). What happened after what they did to these leaders. Inquiries with no results, while the killers roam free in the streets of Karachi.
After the May12 massacre in Karachi, Imran Khan has strongly criticized MQM leadership. One of the many leaders who with their actions and words have made it clear who they think is responsible for the killings. It can be said that Imran Khan has arguably emerged as the strongest critic of Altaf Hussain, even going as farther as dubbing Altaf Hussain as a major terrorist and also committing to file a case against the MQM Quaid for killing innocent people in London. This is a major statement against Altaf Hussain and I am certain that Imran Khan has become a Major thorn in the eyes of MQM. Apart from that Imran Khan is openly criticizing Altaf Hussain on all TV Channels.
In the last 2 or 3 days Karachi, wall chalking against Imran Khan has been done in different surroundings of Karachi. The slogans against him are awkward and shameless consisting of DISGRACEFUL and INDELICATE remarks mostly. This gives an indication of MQM resentment against Imran Khan.
But now is not an opportune time to kill him. Despite all its terrorist activities, MQM is a very smart Party. They will wait until the right moment. When the storm has died down, they will try to Kill Imran Khan. Why not? It will be a big statement from them. If you come after us, this is whats going to happen to you. There is noting better than the fear of death, the motto of MQM. They are already feeling the heat of May12. Most of Karachi resident had began to distance themselves from MQM for sometime now, but the killings has accelerated the pace. They can see themselves loosing most of Karachi . Whats the easiest way of putting fear back in the heart of Karachi. Kill Imran Khan, their most vocal critic and MQM will have shown the whole Karachi again that no body messes with us and lives to see another day. With one killing they can regain control of Karachi.
My only hope is that mine and Fraz fear does not come true. Imran Khan is a good man. He is different from other leaders of Pakistan. Whether you like him or not, you have to respect his truthfulness in political matters. He calls a spade a spade. Has clear visions about Pakistan. Has firm commitment towards establishing law and order in Pakistan ( his Party had Judiciary Independence as its agenda for as long as i remember). You don't expect this from a Pakistani Leader. We need more leaders like him specially in PPP and PML(N), his killing will put fear in all those who inspires to speak the truth. It will not only be a killing of a Man, but will result in putting the new found Political awareness among Pakistan public backward many years.
I just pray for the safety of Imran Khan and hope that MQM doesn't do what I think they will do.

Bomb Blast in Karachi Fascist MQM tries to sabotage the mass movement Print
Bomb Blast in Karachi Fascist MQM tries to sabotage the mass movement Print
By Adam Pal
Wednesday, 16 January 2008
Eleven people were killed and 50 injured on Monday in the Karachi industrial area of Quaidabad when a bomb exploded at a roadside market near Gul Ahmed Textile mills. The area lies within the National Assembly constituency of NA-257 Karachi19. The Pakistan People's Party candidate here is Comrade Riaz Hussain Lund Baloch who is leading a revolutionary election campaign in the constituency against the fascist MQM. He stands on the ideas of revolutionary socialism.
The area where the bomb exploded historically was a stronghold of the PPP but the fascist forces of black reaction made gains in the constituency over the past few years. These reactionary forces always use tactics of fear and terror to keep the masses away from the political process. Anyone putting up resistance to their mafia business can easily be killed, since the State and its institutions protect these forces to keep the masses out of the political process so that they can easily impose their will upon the downtrodden people.
Raiz Lund
Comrade Riaz Lund's election poster
However, the situation is radically different now. Comrade Riaz Lund was awarded the parliamentary ticket for the constituency by the late Benazir Bhutto to fight against these fascists and he is contesting this campaign along revolutionary lines. The slogan on his poster says, "We the toilers have waged a war against the wealthy". This has been very popular among the poor people in the constituency.
Major industrial units of Pakistan are situated within this constituency. Most of the biggest textile mills in the country lie in this area along with other key industries like General Tyre and Pakistan Machine Tool Factory. Bin Qasim Port, the main artery for the Pakistani economy is also within this constituency.
Pakistan Steel Mills also lie adjacent to this constituency where comrade Riaz Lund has a long history of trade unionism. He also led a decisive struggle against the privatisation of the Steel Mills, which was overturned thanks to the efforts of the comrades inside the plant. The lawyers' movement in Pakistan and the contradictions between the judiciary and the Generals were also sharpened due to the issue of the privatisation of the Steel Mills.
Now the State is once again intent on privatizing the Steel Mills along with another important industrial unit, Pakistan Machine Tool Factory, which is in the process of being privatised.
All these issue, together with the revolutionary campaign of comrade Riaz Lund from the platform of the Pakistan People's Party represent a major obstacle for the State and its reactionary stooges.
The masses are emphatically supporting comrade Riaz and he is tipped to win his seat in this constituency which will be a big blow for the fascists and the Musharraf Government. Currently the administration of Karachi and the whole of the Sindh Province are in the hands of the MQM and they are trying their best to stop the mass mobilization in this key area. They are using all means possible to harass the people and sabotage the election process. In past they have even killed the main people who put up resistance to them.
Abdullah Murad Baloch of the Pakistan People's Party was elected Member of the Sindh Assembly in PS-127 in the 2002 elections. This Provincial Assembly constituency also lies within the National Assembly constituency of 257. He was very active in raising the voice of the people who were being tyrannized by the fascists. Abdullah Murad was assassinated by these reactionary forces in 2004 to curb the voice of people.
The dramatic event of last May 12th also underlines the tendency of these forces to kill opponents. On that day these thugs in Karachi opened fire on a rally of nearly ten thousand people protesting against the dictatorial rule of Musharraf. The armed thugs of the MQM were sitting on the rooftops of the buildings along the road waiting for the rally to pass. When thousands of people passed along the road they opened fire from above on unarmed demonstrators, killing many innocent people while hundreds were injured. This incident alone sent a wave of terror and fright among the citizens of Karachi. Comrade Riaz was also hit by two bullets in this incident and narrowly escaped from the scene.
The bomb blast on January 14th is another attempt by the MQM to harass the people and disrupt the ongoing election campaign in NA-257 where they feel they are losing the seat.
The general election is due on February 18th and up to then these gangsters will use every means at their disposal to scare the people so that they don't come out to vote.
However, the masses are raging with revenge and are seeking a revolutionary alternative that can lift them out of the miserable conditions they live in. When Comrade Riaz Lund visited the people injured in the blast in Jinnah Hospital, he was warmly welcomed. The injured people there raised slogans against the MQM and against president Musharraf. They assured the comrades that now the situation has changed and the people will not allow anyone to sabotage the mass mobilisation.
Any attempt to foil the movement of the masses will only serve to give renewed strength to the people to fight against this tyranny and cruelty. Now the lines will be drawn on a class basis and the path that will be followed is none other than revolution.

Fact Sheet About Mqm.
FACT SHEET ABOUT MQM:
So it is a duty of government to tell the people what MQM stands for, whether it is a political group or a gang of terrorists, who are these deserting rats, what do they want, how do they treat places like Kashmir, Pakistan and Karachi, why do they kill, why do they promise to send dead bodies, who do they serve by heightening linguistic feelings, why do they hit transformers and leave people to roast in heat, why do they burn transport, why do they target personnel of law enforcing agencies why do they torture common people, why do they pump bullets into public servants, why have their bullets torn away life from SHOs Bahadur Ali and Imdad Khatian, DSP Bashir Ahmed Noorani (from Sukkur), five relatives of DSP Nisar Khwaja, DSP Tanoli, SDM Mohammad Nawaz Khushk, Journalist Mohammad Salahuddin, Azim Ahmad Tariq, Zohair Akram Nadeem Pir Pagaros son-in-law, Salim Malik, KESC Chairman Malik Shahid Hamid??? And how finally a renowned scholar, Chairman Hamdard Foundation and Ex-governor Sindh Hakim Mohammad Saeed?
The government of the federation is under obligation to explain also to the people who robbed their laughter, who turned the cosmopolitan of Karachi city, its citizens, its hospitals, parks, roads and avenues, its storage houses, police stations and assembly houses into exclusive property; who tempted the citizens to sell off all means of recreation and buy guards with the money; who were the people who never started a single development project in Karachi but did every thing to destroy the KM.C by controlling it during 1987-92 and the provincial government by controlling it during 1990-92?
Terrorism in Karachi on Hitlers Footsteps
Just as the world knows all about the nuclear holocaust which destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, so does it know about Hitlers cruelty which left an entire nation paralyzed and divided. So when government says that the Karachi problem is the problem of the whole country, and that we are fighting the battle for Pakistan in Karachi, they seek to explain the simple logic that the wiles of Fascist Hitler brought destruction not only on the German nation, but resulted in the killing of 55 million people all over the world. Just as MQM has wrought havoc on not only the people of Karachi but the nation at large.
Now we would take the opportunity to see it is really in bad taste to compare Altaf Hussain with Hitler, as some self-preferred terrorists feel. This would depend on the extent to which Altaf Hussain has followed the fascist declarations canonized by Hitler while founding his party.
Hitlers autobiography, "Mein Kampf" was translated in Urdu by Maulvi Ibrahim Ali Chishti and printed by Lahores Lion Press in two volumes (1950 and 1955). In his foreword, the Maulvi stated three distinguishing features of the system which Hitler evolved: use of terrorism to achieve ones aims, preference of racism over nationalism as the basic political creed, and use of peoples power to gain political ascendancy and then discard them. Hitler-power was achieved when they announced the Nazi partys manifesto at a public meeting in 1920. The main features of this manifesto which are given in the following, reflect on his personality and bent of mind more vividly than any other historical document.
These are
1. Nations destinies are charted by the minority, not the majority,
2. Intellectuals are misguided individuals, suffering from scientific indigestion.
3. Democracy brings anarchy and chaos.
4. Our creed is true, and only this creed is true.
5. Destruction fuelled by violent demagoguery is necessary.
6. The leader requires disciples who oppress others while pretending to protect them from oppression ,
7. Illiterates and nave youngsters are more suitable for the movement
8. The disciple should be trained to act, not ask questions
9. We are not the slaves of public opinion, but its leaders
10. Newspapers should not be allowed to ride popular will
11. Reject everything that the opponents utter
12. Minimum writing, maximum speaking
13. Street trouble is the life blood of the movement
14. Public demonstrations should not be peaceful
15. Deserters should face death
16. Kill big traitors before small ones
17. Divide and rule
18. A constitution cannot correct political weaknesses
19. Use force in preaching
20. 80 million Germans ought to grow to 250 million in 100 years
21. 12,000 traitors should be put to sword
We invite everyone here to go over these points and take out those, which havent used by Altaf Hussain and his party in their operations at one time or another. Go briefly over the points once again. The negatives for a terrorist include democracy knowledge and learning, newspapers, children,; public debate and peaceful activity. The positives are illiteracy, blind following, the infallible saint, lawlessness, street trouble, minority decisions, rejection of the opposition, and increase in population.
The conspiracy to spread terrorism in Karachi is a pure Hitlerian strategy which consists in occupying whatever belongs to the people, and then repeatedly dispel the impression that such an occupation has taken place; keep repeating that we are on the side of justice, and that the rest of the world consists of liars; and that so-and-so is opposed to our ideas because he is the enemy of our people. MQM ostensibly seeks to be a civil rights movement, but it conveniently ignores that a civil rights movement needs be civil first.
Review the performance of Karachi Municipal Corporation when MQM was in did in power, especially in the light of this strategy to have an inkling of what is this all about. For five years during 1987-92, MQM wielded total control over the billions of rupees of corporations funds. But what was the result? Nothing but more destruction. And it couldnt be otherwise, because if peoples problems have been solved, who will come to listen to fire-spitting orator dilating on then put theme of deprivation and helplessness.
The largest agency of urban development put at their disposal for five long years, and all we got in return was the same chain of accusations, complaints of repression, of powerlessness, of being cheated; appeals to the people to use in revolt, listen to no one but the MQM as these Chaudhries, Waderas and Sardars were out to fleece every penny of what Appealing to the Army for Justice while attacking the same institution belonged to Karachis people.
While the civic problems went from bad to worse the "nation" was being fed on slogans like "death to Quaids traitors "homeland or coffin", "freedom or death". And just as the civic authority dissolved into a party fief meant for fund raising and ceremonial purposes, the specter of the leader rose as a symbol of Pirdom, sacrosanct and therefore in fallible, at the same time attacking every national institution, every sense of hope creaking at the hinges from internal tension, the party split into two in June 1992, one group identified as MQM Haqiqi and the other called MQM/Haqprast and now Muthaidda. Later a third group emerged under the leadership of the former party chairman, Azim Ahmed Tariq, and a former member of the partys central cabinet, S.M. Tariq. Both Muthaidda activists subsequently assassinated these leaders and their murder blamed on official agencies.
The first to fall was Azim Ahmed Tariq who was eliminated by the terrorists of Altaf who were directly received order from their master through phone calls. But Muthaidda ostensibly mourned his death and held various official agencies as responsible for it. But confusion subsided when the former chief minister of Sindh, Muzaffar Hussain Shah, declared on the floor of Sindh Assembly, Azim Tariq was killed by Hashamuz Zafar and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui both activists of Muthaidda
S.M. Tariq's murder came in the immediate aftermath of the arrest of Hashamuz Zafar by the law enforcing agencies. He was a close aide of Azim Tariq, and a potential witness in his murder case. Muthaidda again held the agencies responsible for the murder, and mourned his death amidst touching statements. During 1992-98 almost 450 central leaders and supporter of MQM (H) were killed and eliminated by the terrorists of Altaf Hussain including Mansoor Ahmed Khan (Deputy General Secretary of MQM (H), Sardar Ahmed (Finance Secretary of MQM (H) Rehan Umar Farooqi (Ex Member National Assembly) and many others.
Everyone knows that Altaf Hussain has shown himself to be an extremely impulsive man who can alter a "principled" stand sooner than one can say Jack Robinson, and often for no obvious reason, unless one takes into account his well known tendency for terrorism as a tool of political black mail. A look at the composition of his dialogue team over the last many years demonstrates this fact. Just because many of the members of this team could not contrive excuses for terrorism on the dialogue table, they were frequently discarded in favour of others. And saw the replacement of M.A. Jalil with Dr Farooq Sattar, followed by Senator Ashtiaq Azhar and more recently Ajmal Dehlavi and company. The same goes for MQM's assembly members, who are changed every time the elections are held so that they wouldn't take roots among the masses and carve out an exclusive niche for their own leadership.
ANTI-STATE ACTIVITES OF MQM
MQM killed thousands of innocent persons including government functionaries. Its first major situational action against political rivals comes in Pakistan Steel Mills in 1990 when a number of men kidnapped from there. These men were taken to torture cells in Landhi and Korangi. Since them, torture and murder of army officers, navy functionaries and a whole range of other professional and non-professional men and women has become a routine. Hundreds and thousands of innocent citizens were eliminated by the terrorists of MQM affair in Karachi. Among them are eminent citizens, politicians and law-enforcing personal, high government officials, writers like Salahuddin and finally the former Governor of Sindh, internationally renowned scholar and social worker Hakim Saeed.
The method is simple. Terrorists chose a government servant and mark his residence. They watch his movements and his routines. Then, when orders are issued to "resurrect the movement and do his case", the main is whisked away from a convenient spot. The kidnapped is invariably tortured, then killed and his body stuffed in a gunny bag to the dumped on a street in the quite of the night. The movement of Haqparasti (truth worship) is thus kept alive. In 1995 alone, 120 public functionaries were killed in this manner by MQM terrorists.
The question is, if MQM has not been engaged in killing government officials, policemen and members of other ethno-linguistic groups, what has it been doing all these years? A group which is armed to it tee hand given to a foreign induced philosophy of separatism cannot do much else. The whole country knows that it started the gory tradition of killing innocent, unarmed civilians in a bid to cause a wedge in the nation.
The people of Pakistan want MQM to renounce its anti-state operations, but it is understandably a hard thing for the group to do. Its personality and holding power depend on men like Farooq Dada, Asif Zaidi, Ali Mota and the like. Regrettably these men can in one lifetime kill 60 to 65 government officials for the sake of Muthhida glory, but they cannot turn it into a formation fit for human politics.
The whole world knows that Altaf during a telephonic address instigated his audience to chant the slogan "aadha tumhara aadha hamara" (half & Sindh for you, half for us) and this slogan obviously reminds us about another slogan which was raised some quarter century ago" Udhr Tum Ider Hum" and the horrible consequences it bought in a form of Dahka Fall. At the end of the meeting a prayer was held which said, "makes us the sons of our soil, O Lord," then there is Rana Safder Ali Khans threat in the Sindh Assembly, "we will demand the deployment of UN troops in Sindh", or Ajmal Dehlavis threat, "give us our rights otherwise India, or some other country may intervene." One also has not forgotten the "break Pakistan" slogan raised by mourners during a funeral procession in February 1994.
INDIAN CONNECTION OF MQM:
The government has repeatedly called upon Muthaidda to close its training camps in India and call back Javed Langhra and others to the country. Altaf and his party responded that leveling such an allegation against a party was not only a crime, it was violate of the security of the country.
According to Altaf and his Muthaidda there are no training camps in India but Javed Langrha lives there because it is a democratic country. It also says that thousands of other workers went abroad to escape persecution. It does not say how many, but if we take it at 20,000 who paid for their fare? They must have spent well over a billion rupees.
But here money is not the issue (Altaf's Muthaidda was a multi billion-rupee organisation, having robbed with total impunity the richest city of Pakistan for more than a decade. The issue is, did thousands really leave the country in 1992? All we have heard so far is a few names: Altaf Hussain, his 12 body guards, Salim Shahzad, Anwar Khan, Javed Langrha Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Ishratul Ebad and about hundred others. There may be hundred more phony asylum seekers in the west, using MQM's cover. To say that they are in thousands is to say that there are 22 million Mohajirs in Sindh. It is Master Goebbles at his dirty work again.
The government has repeatedly referred to training camps in India on the basis of two known factors. Firstly, the types of weapons - Klashnikovs, rocket launchers and hand grenades that are used by MQM terrorists are in use in three zones of this region; Tamil Nadu, Karachi and Afghanistan. All the three zones are divided between different gangsters and warlords, who are spilling blood to strengthen the irrespective bargaining positions. Secondly, enough circumstantial evidence exists to suggest that MQM is doing India an overt favour by harming the cause of Pakistan on every possible platform.
Since 1990, every year Karachi has religiously plunged into an orgy of death and violence at or about February 5, the day that the government of Pakistan observes as the annual black day for Kashmir. MQM's; peak violent action has also coincided with other Kashmir related issues, such as the official Pakistani protest over the burning of Charar Sharif or during the earlier hold out at Dargah Hazrat Bal. Towing this; policy, MQM has brought the issue of Karachi at par with that of Kashmir in the international media. Although the issue of Kashmir involves a deeper sense of loss, strongly rooted in the valley's historical consciousness, tying it up with a predominantly criminalised Karachi has nevertheless been a victory of sorts for India.
Moreover, Javed Langhra's access to the personal company of Indian minister of interior and other high-ranking officials is a matter of concern for the government of Pakistan. Not very long ago, the former Indian: Prime Minster, V.P. Singh, had stated that India could not keep quiet over the situation in Karachi any longer. Altaf Hussain's appeals to Indian Muslims to hold protest rallies against Pakistan, are also fresh in our memory. Then there is the incident of(UNHRC) Geneva Conference in which MQM's New York based leader Anwar Khan, delivered a speech and took sides, with the Indian delegation against Pakistan. Altaf Hussain himself ridiculed the two- nation theory and spoke derisively about Pakistan Army in an interview with the Indian fortnightly magazine, India Today.
He has frequently been clamoring to the world opinion leaders to forget about Bosnia and Kashmir, and to watch Karachi instead. In the back ground of all these facts, the extra coverage which MQM gets at the Indian radio and TV media is a further source of concern to the Pakistani government. Apart from enlisting India's support, Altaf has repeatedly sold Karachi to the west as another Hong Kong - all that needs be done is repeat of history when the Hong Kong was taken away by the British.
Altaf Hussain was also asked by the government to condemn Indian excesses against Kashmiris, desist from portraying Karachi (which is a part of Pakistan). At par with Kashmir in international circles and stop its activities in Karachi and abroad which are aimed at diverting the world's attention from Kashmir.
Altaf Hussain established its Indian connection probably a little before 1990. According to some observers, previously this connection worked through the mediation of G.M. Syed's workers. But direct contacts were established once Altaf (because of criminal charges, which he refuses, to face) departed from Pakistan and took permanent abode in London
.
A little before the army operation of June 92 Javed Largrha and his comrades slipped into India and, in connivance with the Indian authorities, started training camps for subversive activities inside Pakistan. Some Muthaidda activists who were later arrested - among them Naahid Butt's phony brother, Khalid Taqqi - have narrated before the Islamabad press their tour to India in the company of Langrha.
The government of Pakistan has a real cause of concern here. Langrah is a fugitive from the law. His stay in India makes him susceptible to Indian pressure to work against Pakistan. India competes with Pakistan in the international market for textile, leather goods, rice cotton and other commodities. Obviously the Indians will not get on Pakistani ships to destroy their consignment
They will rather avail the services of Pakistan's gun totting "political" activists to cripple its economy. It is not surprising, therefore, that Altaf Hussain continues to dish out strike calls in protest over the arrest or killing of criminals who have each killed anything from 20 to 50 persons in a brief career of between two to four years. The economic fallout of these strikes inevitably goes to favour India.
The first time Altaf's Muthidda stayed away from the government's annual, February 5 Kashmir Day protest was in 1990. The Kashmiri intifada was a year old then, and the Indian government was already feeling the heat. Relief came from Muthidda on February 6 and 7, when unprecedented violence started in Karachi and continued for several days. Since then the 5th of February has occurred many times, but not a single occasion has seen Altaf's Muthidda joining the anti-India protest over human rights violations in Kashmir. If anything, it has punished the protesters on each occasion by resorting to terrorist attacks in Karachi and Hhyderabad. For example in such an attack in Liaquatabad killed 10 camp followers of Harkat-ul-Ansaar, a Kashmiri organisation. A pro- Altaf morning newspaper and another sympathetic eveninger put headlines that read, "5 die in Kashmir, 10 in Karachi".
ANTI MEDIA ACTIVITES OF MQM:
( Recently attack on Geo anf Ajj TV
Altaf and his MQM were asked by the government to renounce its policy of press censorship, and publicly declare that it will not use threats and direct or indirect pressure to influence the print media.
Altaf's MQM is perhaps the first "political " party in the world which clamped an across the board censorship on newspapers and kept breathing down the editor neck for more than four years. Hitler had said, "newspapers should not be allowed to ride popular will". Altaf and MQM followed this dictum to a tee. The code of censorship, which MQM designed under the able guidance of Altaf Hussain for the newspapers of Karachi, was impeccably complete. "Important" news items and photographs, their size, length and their exact placement on specified pages (mostly front page) was dictated to the city's newsrooms from Nine Zero. Anything, which Altaf did not want published, could not see the light of the day.
MQM's terrorism against the press took its early shape in 1985. By 1987 it had gradually made its presence felt in the newsrooms. Any departure from Nine - Zero's guidelines brought down the Pir's wrath on the reporter, the sub-editor, the editor, the publisher the owner - anyone in any way connected with the production of that particular section of the newspaper. Inadvertent violations sent shivers through the entire newspaper establishment.
Daily Jang, being the largest circulated newspaper of the country, tried to break the shackles in earlier days of the Pir (Altaf Hussain) and he threatened that paper "one paper is becoming a party against "Mohajirs", it should take warning (daily Amn April 6, 1987). The Pir's disciples ultimately in Hyderabad lit up 30,000 copies of the paper on June 21, 1987. Thousands of copies more were burnt in Karachi. On June 24, Jang columnist, Nizam Siddiqui, wrote, "Altaf Hussain demands that Jang should; publish his statements and photographs in places proposed by him, and that his opponents views should not be brought into print. No political party or leader has made such a demand in 47 years."
Altaf's reactions have always been aggressive and devoid of any regard for ethics. Ask about who persecuted Maulana Salahuddin, editor weekly Takbir, burnt his house, burnt Takbir copies, tried to prevent Takbirs'; publication from Karachi, and when the Maulana refused to budge, killed him? And every one will say MQM.
An evening newspaper brought out a supplement on the assassination of some opponent of MQM, in which it called him a "Shaheed". The paper had to suspend its publication for several days, and the editor attended hearings at Nine-zero day in and day out. He was finally given the license to live, but on a price. Until today, this evening newspaper is acting as an official spokesman of MQM.

NTERNATIONAL POLICE MUST ARREST MQM MURDERER, CRIMINAL and TERRORIST ALTAF HUSSAIN
NTERNATIONAL POLICE MUST ARREST MQM MURDERER, CRIMINAL and TERRORIST
ALTAF HUSSAIN of LONDON, UK:
Lal Masjid Gassed
Welcome to LalMasjid
By QAISER ZULFIQAR
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, 17 April 2007 (The Nation) - Criticising MQM
[Muttahida Quami Movement] leader Altaf Hussain's statement,
[Islamabad, Pakistan-based Markazi Jamia Masjid (Lal Mosque) college
Vice Principal Mr. Abdul Rasheed] Ghazi said:
"Altaf [Hussain] himself is a criminal. He murdered many scholars,
political and religious leaders, and should be brought back [from
London, UK] to the [Pakistan] country. We will hold a trial against
him in the Shariat [Islamic] Court of Lal Masjid."
Ghazi claimed that the [Aziz-Mush Mafia] Government is doing so
[gassed the Lal Mosque] to please Altaf Hussain and to sabotage the
dialogue process between Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Lal Masjid [Lal
Mosque].
He said: "[Assassinated Governor of Sindh, Pakistan] Hakeem [Muhammad]
Saeed, [Pakistani Takbeer magazine Editor Mohammad] Salahuddin and
many other scholars were killed on the orders of Altaf Hussain, and he
should be brought back [to Pakistan] through Interpol [International
Police] to face a trial in the Shariat Court."

MQM RALLY A PRO-BROTHEL SHOW: GHAZI
MQM chief wants to fool public: Ghazi
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, 16 April 2007 (OINN-The Post): Lal Masjid Naib
Khateeb [Vice Islamic Lecturer] Abdul Rasheed Ghazi has said MQM
leader Altaf Hussain is trying to fool the [Pakistani] nation by
staging a rally in favour of brothels.
Commenting on the [MQM Karachi] rally and the telephonic address made
by the MQM leader, the Maulana [Islamic scholar] said millions in
Karachi and Sindh recognise him (Altaf Hussain) as pioneer of
Kalashnikov [AK-47 Russian gun culture] and ethnic politics, and he is
the man who has blood of thousands of innocent people on his hands. He
categorically said that none of Jamia Hafsa [Islamic college] students
or Lal Masjid administration stopped any female from driving in
Islamabad nor threatened any shopkeepers [nor has there been any
incident of throwing of acid on a female in Islamabad].
He said Altaf Hussain was upset at the closure of brothels. "The
patrons of brothels and red-light [pornography and XXX sex] areas must
know it that we will not let this happen," he warned.
He said it is surprising that Altaf Hussain kept silence at
publication of sacrilegious caricatures, but he is now trying to fool
masses by taking out an anti-Shariah [anti-Islam] and pro-brothels
rally.
ALTAF the FOUNDER of KALASHNIKOV POLITICS, says LAL MASJID
By FAREED FAROOQUI
KARACHI, Pakistan, 17 April 2007 (Daily Times): In response to the
Mutahidda Qaumi Movement's (MQM) Sunday rally against the Lal Masjid
and Jamia Hafsa's System, Jamia Hafsa Vice Principal Maulana Abdul
Rashid Ghazi told Daily Times that they believed the MQM chief, Altaf
Hussain, himself is the founder of Kalashnikov [AK-47 Russian gun
culture] and ethnic politics.
"Altaf Hussain's hands are tainted with the blood of the innocent
human beings whose deaths he is responsible for. The Pakistani public
has not forgotten that this is the same man who coined the slogan that
whoever betrays the Quaid [MQM Don Altaf Hussain] should be killed,"
Ghazi said, while speaking to Daily Times from Islamabad. He rejected
the charge that the Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa students had thrown
acid on a woman for not wearing the veil. "Everything that Altaf
Hussain said in his speech was based on a pack of lies."
Ghazi criticised the MQM for what he called 'selective' action. "The
MQM did not protest when European newspapers printed blasphemous
cartoons, but now, they have organised a whole rally to support the
culture of vulgarity and obscenity in the country [Islamic Republic of
Pakistan]," he said.
The Vice Principal of Jamia Hafsa said that they had no political
agenda and were not against any person or organisation. All that they
are against, he said, is the system that the [Pakistan] country is
following. "Our only demand is that Shariat [Islamic System] be
implemented throughout the country according to the Shariat Act of
1991." For his part Ghazi said that Altaf Hussain is not familiar with
the history of Pakistan and does not know that when Islamabad was made
the federal capital in the 1960s, Jamia Hafsa's Lal Masjid was the
first mosque in the city.
"Altaf Hussain is involved in the Nishtar Park [Karachi] bombing of
2006 and investigations into the tragedy were terminated on his
orders," Ghazi alleged and demanded that Hussain be arrested through
Interpol and that cases against him pending in Pakistani courts be
brought to an end.
Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan (JIP) Secretary General Syed Munawar Hasan
alleged, in response to Sunday's [MQM] rally, that the Quranic verses
quoted by Altaf Hussain in his speech were all wrong. He said that the
MQM is not a political party, rather a fascist organisation and is
responsible for introducing to Karachi the culture of dead bodies in
sacks. "He [MQM Don Altaf Hussain] is the murderer of former MQM
[Mohajir Quami Movement] Chairman Azeem Tariq among others, and should
provide answers to the public for all the people that he has killed,"
Hasan alleged, questioning how could he decide the fate of Pakistan
while sitting in London? "The public wants to know why he doesn't
disassociate himself with the [Aziz-Mush criminal] Government if it
has failed to control the Jamia Hafsa situation?"
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Sami-ul-Haq) Pakistan Secretary General Mufti
Mohammad Usman Yar Khan was critical of Altaf Hussain referring to the
ulema [Islamic scholars] collectively. "We have met with the MQM
multiple times and discussed this issue. We have always told them that
whenever you speak of the ulema, pinpoint who you are speaking of.
Clearly, he hasn't understood this and in his latest speech Sunday, he
still used the word 'ulema' as a collective body." Khan said that they
considered it un-Islamic to speak against the ulema. "Hussain's speech
shows his anti-Islamic views and that he hasn't read the [1973]
Constitution of Pakistan, which clearly states that the supreme law of
Pakistan is the Quran and the Sunnah [Islamic System]."
Khan added that the MQM stayed silent while the [Pakistani] judiciary
was disrespected and also went against the Quran and Sunnah on the
Women's Protection Bill. "The Wafaqul Madaris has clearly put forward
its views on the Jamia Hafsa issues, and still Hussain is making an
issue out of this. He is clearly exploiting the situation, as this is
the year of the elections," he alleged.
"The MQM has forgotten its slogan of a fifth [Mohajir] nation and its
cause of bringing power to the Urdu-speaking population of Sindh. It
is now only concerned with [MQM] power," said Sarfaraz Ahmed,
spokesman of the JIP Karachi, in response to the same question.
The Mutahidda Majlis-e-Amal's (MMA) MNAs Mohammad Hussain Mehnti and
Laiq Khan, in a press release issued Monday, termed the MQM's rally a
failure. "They used the [Aziz-Mush corrupt] Government's resources to
make it into a [failure] and government employees were made to attend
it by force," the press statement claimed.

I am giving some extracts from he report for a quick read.
Quote:
The MQM has a reputation for strong control, sometimes including the use of force, violence and intimidation.
Quote:
The Muttahida Qaumi Mahaz (MQM, United National Party), initially the party of mohajirs,26 was part of the governing coalition in Sindh province. Strong mainly in urban Sindh, the MQM is led by Altaf Hussein, who has been in self-imposed exile in the UK since 1992. The agenda of this largely secular party focuses on issues relating to regional autonomy and opposition to Punjabi dominance.
Still those think MQM isa peaceful Organization may need to open their eyes or can continue with all the lies we are listening for last 20+ years from and about MQM.
History of MQM is based on blood of non-MQM innocent people of Pakistan. Their history speaks that whenever they sit in opposition they bring violence to the port city Karachi and unrest to rest of the country.
Most impotently the question is, when MQM party was in govt, what stopped their so called leader Altaf to come to Pakistan ? He is not been in Pakistan since 1992 that is 16 years not in Pakistan but commanding from UK. Doesn't it indicate the style of a Mafia Gang working ?

The News reports 450 Billion Rupees housing scam by MQM's Housing Minister of Musharr
The News reports 450 Billion Rupees housing scam by MQM's Housing Minister of Musharraf regime.
Source: Gilani cancels illegal allotments
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has cancelled with immediate effect 3,281 eligibility certificates issued by outgoing MQM housing minister Syed Safwanullah for government properties and accommodations in Karachi estimated to be worth Rs 450 billion.
Bulk of these properties was quietly sold in the private market by those who had received these illegal certificates. The prime minister who may face political pressure from his partys new coalition partner in Sindh after this decision, has also ordered the immediate ejection of all those now illegally occupying these government properties and houses. The buyers of most of these government properties were given eligibility certificates by the housing minister during 2005-2008 but they sold them in the open market and disappeared.
While a total of 3,281 occupants of these government properties worth Rs450 billion in Karachi were shown occupying government houses, only 413 certificates were given to government employees. Rest were either retired or private individuals who were occupying these properties without any legal authority.
Before issuing these certificates, the former minister for housing Safwanullah had evolved a new method as he stopped the fresh allotment of the government houses in these areas to the civil servants. As such the accommodation vacated by retired officers in these three years, were also shown as occupied and later given to private parities who sold them in the open market to earn billions.
Even eight officers of estate office Karachi who had conducted a faulty survey of these houses were rewarded with eight certificates for their collaboration. These properties worth Rs450billion are located in Karachi's Martin Road, Clayton road, Jail Road, Jehangir Road, old Alkhhest, Patail Para, Jehangir Road West and Pakistan Quarters.
The letters were issued by MQM minister Safwanullah without getting the required approval from the cabinet of Shaukat Aziz or Housing Secretary Rauf Chaudhry. The certificates doled out by the MQM minister were being openly sold in the city markets in the range of Rs5 million to Rs15million and hundreds of people who have bought these certificates might see their billions going down the drain.
PM Gilani took action on a secret inquiry conducted by the estate officer of Pakistan, Sher Afzal Khan who despite serious threats to his life, visited Karachi with full protection from the law enforcement agencies to document what may be the biggest scam in the real estate history of Pakistan.
The PM is said to have appreciated the work of this intelligent, honest and bold officer who is said to have refused to yield before the threats and bribery offers from different quarters to stay away from the investigation.
The new housing minister Rehmatullah Kakar is said to have played an important role in getting the recommendations of the report implemented after he refused to come under pressure from the elements who wanted him to dump the report.
Earlier the explosive inquiry report was sent to the law division for its opinion which observed the certificate of eligibility did not have any legal authority or do not create any legal rights in favour of those who claimed to be deriving any benefit from those letters.
The state officer Sher Afzal Khan who had unearthed this scam confirmed to The News: "I have been conveyed the decision of the federal government regarding declaring eligibility certificate as fake and on behalf of federal government pronouncement that these certificates are immediately renunciated and revoked and cancelled with immediate effect. I have been further conveyed to intimate decision of federal government to all those concerned in whose favours these certificate were issued."
Sher Afzal said, "in consequence of this decision, the properties of the federal government remains exclusive ownership of the federal government and any instrument of sale or in transactions, struck regarding these properties, would have no effect whatsoever on the status of the ownership of the federal government."
He warned that the public at large was being advised in their own interests to refrain from entering into any kind of transaction in respect of the federal government property at all these locations. Any instrument of sales, or an instrument to alienate the properties or ownership rights upon an individual regarding these properties void and has no legal effect"
MQM minister Safwanullah had told The News that a cabinet committee under the then Prime Minister had recommended to re-develop the area. He was of the view that the recommendation was to give the present occupants shelter in the re-developed structures.
Safwanullah admitting that the said recommendation was never approved by the cabinet, said that he had issued the eligibility certificates to the residents of more than 3,000 government own houses/quarters in Karachi to ensure that the claimants of the ownership does not change once the government takes a decision on the cabinet committee's recommendation.
The former minister said that the title of the properties in question had not changed but only ownership eligibility certificates were issued.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister has also directed the Estate officer of Pakistan to advertise his decision in the newspapers and tell the concerned that the properties worth Rs450billion which were sold during the period of housing mminister Safwanullah had been cancelled as these were sold without any authority and should be retrieved from those who were now occupying them after paying a massive money to the plunderers who had drafted fake allotment letters to sell those government houses in the open market.
Earlier, after coming to know that a high level inquiry report was ready, a high powered delegation of MQM is said to have met prime minister Gilani to remove the secretary housing Rauf Chudhry who was backing the estate officer Sher Afzal Khan to clean the department of corruption and corrupt practices.
However the MQM successfully got the secretary transferred the other day to block the action but prime minister also ordered the cancellation of sale. Efforts are, however, underway to target Sher Afzal Khan and get him removed from his present post to block the action.
The inquiry report said it was strange to note that the entire exercise of delivery of eligibility of ownership certificate which was aimed at transfer of valuable property of state worth billion of rupees was commenced on the desire of the then housing and works minister Safwanullah in the year 2005 without the approval of the federal cabinet.
No need was felt to cloth the exercise with proper legislation and even official instructions on the subject are conspicuous by their absence. In fact no policy decision was taken at the competent level and statements of inquiry witnesses confirmed that the matter remained confined to the state offices, Karachi.
The estate officer Karachi Ghulam Abbas Baluch was especially sent to Karachi on the personal instructions of the minister Safwanullah to accomplish the task. These eligibility letters were not even issued after consulting the law ministry as it is devoid of any legal wisdom and does not quote the authority or law as sanctioned behind it.
The report said, in most of the cases these certificates had nothing to do with the authorized occupants but only the names of persons were entered without any verification who were predetermined to be the beneficiaries. A further inquiry into the matter revealed that only a non verified claim of occupants was made a basis for declaring them eligible for certificate of eligibility of ownership.
The report said all the members of the survey teams were rewarded certificates of eligibility of ownership. Yasin Babar was the incharge of the survey team who admitted in cross examination that they conducted survey under the instructions of MQM people and had been directed by the minister of housing Safwanullah not to take any exercise had been directed to verify of occupancy.
The inquiry report said it is an admitted fact that these certificates in addition to the legal heirs of deceased allotees, widows and original allotees were also prepared, signed and issued to non entitled persons and even to private persons on the direction of the then minister.
In cases where certificates were issued to the government servants, no care was taken to certify whether those occupants had either been allotted any plots by federal employees housing foundation or they had their own residential accommodation at Karachi.
