  • PM seeks performance report from ministers

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday sought a report on the performance of his federal ministries during the first 100 days of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government. He also sought a report on austerity measures.
During a party meeting, the PM inquired about progress on the various plans featuring his government’s 100-day plan and directed his ministers to submit an evaluation report. He said it is imperative to share the government’s performances with the public.
The ministers will also have to notify any public money they saved by adopting austerity measures. The report is supposed to include the initiatives taken to provide relief to the public and the degree of commitment to the government’s manifesto.
The report is also to mention measures undertaken by ministers to curb corruption in their respective departments. The ministers with promising reports will receive recognition.
The PTI-led government launched a website in October to apprise the public of the PTI’s 100 Day Agenda. Adviser to the Prime Minister on Establishment Mohammad Shehzad Arbab said it has been created for the public and the media to track progress on the 100 Days Agenda.
“We want to be transparent… we are accountable to the public. So we have launched a website to help people keep track of our performance,” said Arbab.
On May 20, the PTI chairman had unveiled his government’s 100-day plan. He had promised that his party would utilize the valuable experience they gained by governing Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province if elected to lead the country after the elections.
Khan had promised policies to make education, employment and other basic needs accessible to the common man.
