Security man killed, seven hurt in Kharian suicide attack
KHARIAN: A suicide bomber blew himself up close to an army training centre near Kharian Cantt on Thursday, killing a security man and wounding seven others.
The attacker struck next to a military vehicle in Kharian, 135 kilometers (85 miles) southeast of the capital Islamabad, near an army drivers' training centre, sources said.
The soldiers were sitting near their vehicle outside the garrison area and the bomber came and blew himself up." A security man was killed and seven were wounded in the attack.
Security forces have cordoned off the area after the incident.
The injured security men have been transferred to CMH Kharian Cantt for medical aid.
District Nazim Gujrat Chaudhry Shafaat Hussain and DPO Syed Ahsan Mehboob were reached to the spot with heavy contingent of police after the incident.
