Though Pope Benedict XIV is a religious leader, he shouldn't say such insulting words to any relgion.
He quoted that Islam is using violence in the name of God. In BBC, his secretary (or jr. assistant some one I don't remember his name) explained that his lecture was theological, Muslims don't take it deeply.
But if theology, then Pope is also a religious leader, and had studied about religions so it's major point and absolutely he insulted Islam and dishonoured our Prophet (PPBU). he should confess for it.
All most all muslim countries and 57 Nation Organization of Islam conference condemned the Pope's comments.
Find here...who is inhuman...
