Broken Souls
Is there a way out for them?
Mired in negative thinking
Being hard upon themselves
Making it difficult for others
Tension, stress, strain
Less pleasure, more pain
They have nothing to gain
Except to drown
In a sea of disdain
Their goal is too far
Life is too near
They are beyond healing
They achieve nothing
Except what they dole out
And are self destroyed
In their own destructive criticism
They know not what they do
Restless pathetic existence
May their souls rest in peace.
