    Hair Growing Tips

The first attempt towards growing long hair would be to get it trimmed. Head straight to the parlor and get it trimmed, to at least ½ inch. Get split ends removed, in any. This will help

    your hair attain full growth.
It is very important to style your hair in such a way that the ends are not exposed to open air. Try to go for French rolls, buns or other types of updos whenever you step out of the

    house.
Avoid applying any artificial source of heat to your hair. Do not curl your hair or iron it. Avoid blow drying your hair as well. Using such appliances would not only make your hair dull and

dry, but also restrict their growth.
Avoid going for hairstyles that put pressure on the roots of your hair, as they might damage the follicles.
It is very important to moisturize the ends of your hair. Regularly apply a lotion moisturizer, oil - like jojoba or a leave-in conditioner, on the ends.
While shampooing, do not pile your hair on the scalp. Instead work your way to rinse both the roots and the ends. It is advisable to rinse your hair with cold water, as it helps seal the

cuticles. Never ever towel-scrub wet hair as well.
Conditioning of your hair is very crucial. Apply a moisturizing conditioner two times a week and a protein conditioner at least once a month. This would help keep your hair long and

    strong.
Do not be in a hurry when you comb. Treat your hair well. Take time to comb and detangle your hair and be patient while styling it.
It is often seen that people who want their hair to grow long, regularly fuss with it, like touching it time and again. Let your hair be, as fussing will only make it dry and lead to split

    ends.
While going to sleep at night, tie a silk or sating scarf or sleep over a satin pillowcase. This would prevent the formation of tangles in your hair and also keep dryness at bay.
Your diet plays a vital role in the growth of your hair. Have proper, nutritious food by eating lots of vegetables and including protein in your diet. You can also take multi-vitamin

supplements to make sure that you're getting all of the vitamins you need. Drink plenty of water and exercise daily, to encourage blood flow to the scalp and hair follicles.
Lastly, do not use harsh conditioner or shampoo on your hair. They would damage the hair instead of helping grow them.
