    When we are on diet and not achieving the results we crave, we need to rethink our strategy and figure out what we are doing wrong. Often modifying some simple diet goof ups can bring about the results we so desire.


    Liquid Calories


    We often think that liquid in the form of juices, coffee or milk do not add up to much. The fact is that very often they have more calories that a meal itself. Besides they do nothing to make us feel full. Water, green tea and other herbal drinks that are sugar free can be a better choice. These help us lose weight and also are good for our general well being.


    Treating ourselves


    If we continuously deprive ourselves there will come a day when we will get fed up of the whole weight loss process. We need to have at least one meal in the week when we can indulge in food of our choice. This will give us something to look forward to and will also satisfy our palate. We can also treat ourselves to a small bit of chocolate everyday. This will keep our sweet cravings at bay.


    Not exercising enough.


    It is important to keep increasing our physical activity as our diet progresses. We need to burn more calories than we take in. At some point, the body plateaus and this will cause active calorie burning to stop. Increasing exercise will start the process once again.


    Meal Skipping.


    Many people are under the impression that not eating will fasten the weight loss process. The opposite is true. Meal skipping causes our metabolic rate to slow down and we will feel weak. At night we are then tempted to eat and most often we will eat all the wrong things. Breakfast is an important meal as it fuels our day and gets our body working. Good healthy breakfast consisting of oats, fruits, and some lean protein like egg whites gives us a boost to start our day on the perfect note
