Home remedies to fight body odour

Perspiration or sweating is not the actual cause of body odour. It is normal for bacteria to get accumulated on the skin. This bacteria releases unpleasant smelling chemicals, which cause

body odour. Bacteria multiply rapidly in the presence of sweat and hence people smell more when they perspire.
The use of deodorants only worsens the situation as it contains various toxic chemicals, which further aggravate the problem. Several home remedies are available to treat body odour.
    Home remedies for body odour:

Add 500 mg of wheat grass to a glass of water and drink it on an empty stomach in the morning. The chlorophyll present in the grass will help reduce body odour.

Add a few drops of alcohol to a mug of water and use it to rinse the armpits while bathing.

The readily available rose water is a natural deodorant. Add a few drops to the bath water daily to keep fresh throughout the day.

Use a few drops of apple cider vinegar in a mug of water to rinse the armpits, while bathing. This reduces the pH of the skin and eliminates armpit odour.

Bathe at least thrice a day, in the summer season, when one tends to sweat a lot.

Sprinkle a little baking soda onto a damp wash cloth, and apply it to your underarms. This will keep you fresh throughout the day!

Application of talcum powder to your armpits also helps keep you fresh, though not for long.

Pour some white vinegar on a cotton ball and dab your underarms with it. While the vinegar smell would fade in some time, you would remain smell-free for the rest of the day.

Aloe-vera juice makes a quick deodorant. It has a mildly cooling effect, especially pleasant and refreshing at hot times of year.

Aloe-vera's remarkable healing and moisturising properties alleviate any allergy or itching and ensure that the skin is adequately conditioned.
