    Simple and Easy Tips for healthy Living

    If you were to meet me in person, I'd probably smile at you - not know who you are, where you're from or what you do. Generally, I'm a happy person and like to spread some cheer

    throughout.

    Here are some simple tips for feeling great, it starts on the inside and spreads out.

    * UPKEEP
    You don't have to look like a model to feel great and invariably, the one day you leave the house in the worst possible condition - is the day you will run into a client, your bosses boss,

    an old flame. So when you walk out the door - be content that if you see that person, you can SMILE and say HELLO!!!

    * Making sure your clothes are clean and stain-free can always make you feel good.
    * Brush your teeth 2 times a day, and carry gum or mints on hand in case you're in a conversation. (That happens when you have onions on your salad or sub.)
    * When you brush your teeth - brush your lips too. It will rid dead skin and make you look younger.
    * Get your yearly physicals!!!! (AND all those tests!!!)
    * Moisturize your skin
    * Drink water.
    * The tip for this step is: Feeling GREAT is to be comfortable with who you are!!

    * YOUR HEART
    When you achieve to feel great, your heart is very important. The Beatles said, "Hey, you've got to hide your love away." But to feel GREAT this is not true.

    * Do good for people, there are always opportunities, give a homeless person a goody bag (resource attached), open the doors for someone, leave an extra good tip for your lunch

    server, or have an open mind when you're listening to a friends' problems.
    * Don't be afraid. Have confidence and try to do something new. Maybe you want to be an author, better to try and fail - then sit in misery and wondering what if. To feel GREAT you're

    going to have to try for some things, maybe even out of your comfort level.
    * Consider adopting a pet from your local SPCA chapter. Sometimes to love, you need to be loved back.
    * Keep a journal. In this journal you can list the ideas and dreams you have. How you would like to help other people. Places you would like to go.
    * Prioritize your life. Do you feel guilt for not having time for friend and family? Is your house so clean someone could come in and eat off the floor? Think about the things in your life

    that ARE important and keep them close. Don't sacrifice your family and friends for a career. Don't sacrifice convenience for your health. Don't hide your emptiness with material things

    and steps that don't matter.
    * The tip for this step is: Feeling GREAT is to realize how special you are and what you say and do in situations can change someone's life, do it with love, do it with your heart.

    * TIME
    When you feel GREAT you're generally not rushed. You've got some time for unexpected stops, changes in your schedule, a last minute lunch. Don't schedule your time to where there is

    nothing left.
    * Wake up slowly - don't set that clock for your last minute you need for maximum sleep. Give yourself 10 minutes to wake up to music, get prepared for the day.
    * If you're always late to work, get up 5 minutes earlier.
    * Keep your counters clean - if that task is done, the rest of cleaning is a breeze.
    * Start a gift drawer/closet. When you see a bargain AND a perfect gift for a friend, buy it - put their name on it and stick it in the drawer. That will save you time for last minute

    shopping.
    * Decide how long you're going to keep things (bills, magazines, clothes, toys) then throw it out. This step can make your cleaning so much smoother.
    * When you're tired, rest. Soak in a hot bath, get a pedicure, go golfing, or do something relaxing. Everyone needs downtime
    * If you find yourself dreading a chore, go ahead and tackle it.
    * Keep lists. Grocery lists. Drug store lists. Questions for your doctor or pharmacist. Work ideas that hit you at 3:22am.

    * Take a day off and do something out of the ordinary. If you have children, share the experience with them. Eat dessert first that night.

    * The tip for this step is: Feeling GREAT is to have time to enjoy life.

    In the 80's Ferris reminded us, "Life goes by pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

    * SIMPLIFY THINGS

    * Clean your sink by lining with paper towels and pour hydrogen peroxide on top of the paper towel and let it soak for 30 minutes.
    * Boil cinnamon and water on your stove top for a fresh smell throughout the house.
    * Clean your toilet by putting denture tablets in your toilet, let it soak overnight.
    * Use toothpaste to remove crayon marks.
    * Keep a family calendar
    * The tip for this step is: Feeling GREAT is to look for creative ways to do the things that steal your time.

    * HAPPINESS
    If you're going to feel great you need to determine what it will take to make you feel GREAT.

    Consider yourself in the equation, and what you are doing to keep you from feeling GREAT at this time. Make time for you, make sure you are not stretched too thin, and look towards

    feeling GREAT, find creative ways to live the life you've dreamed of.

    * The tip for this step is: Feeling GREAT has a lot to do with how happy you are. Find out if there is anything keeping you from being happy and address it.
