Rules of the match: All three men will be wrestling each other at the same time. The man that scores the first pin fall, forces an opponent to submit, or escapes the cage will walk out of the match as the champion regardless of who is pinned or forced to submit.
Events leading to his match: A five-man gauntlet match was held during a recent edition of Monday Night RAW to determine the number one contender for the title. When the match came down to R-Truth and John Cena, the Miz and Alex Riley interfered in the bout and forced it to end in a double-disqualification. The anonymous RAW General Manager then announced that both R-Truth and John Cena were the new number one contenders and both would get a title shot at this event. The following week, R-Truth lost his spot in the bout when he lost a match to John Morrison.
Ladder Match for the Vacant World Heavyweight Championship: Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian
Rules of the match: The title belt will be dangling over the ring. The wrestler that climbs the ladder and gains control of the belt will walk out of the match as the new champions.
Events leading to his match: Alberto beat Christian a few weeks ago on Friday Night SmackDown in a number one contender's match to earn a title shot against Edge in a Ladder Match. A few nights later, Edge announced his retirement and was forced to vacate the title. Christian won a battle royal to determine Alberto's opponent in this match.
