Pakistan's wicketkeeper batsman Zulqarnain Haider has gone missing in Dubai and did not arrive with his team for the 5th ODI against South Africa at the Dubai Sports City Stadium, according to a Geo News report.
The report comes in the wake of the Pakistani mentioning on his Facebook post that he was set to quit playing cricket as someone had sent him a bad message.
His post on Facebook read: "leaving pakistan cricket because get bad msg fr 1 man fr lose the match in last game."
There was also a text message from Zulqarnain to his friend's mobile which suggested that the wicketkeeper had received death threats.
Nadeem Sarwar, Director Media Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed that Haider went missing, while Intikhab Alam, the Pakistan team manager said that he cannot comment on this situation as yet.
"I can't make much comment on this, but I can only confirm that Haider did not come with the team to the ground and we are looking for him." He added.
